Hello guys! Just asking if the circuit orientation training ( lesson 0 ) is like prac 1? Need bring helmet, wear longs and all?

 

I enrolled like more than 1 year ago... just extended my course. Haha! Regret not going for lessons when I enrolled man.

 

orientation just need to wear protected shoes and long sleeve if can and your booklet thats all hehe

slots getting lesser and lesser especially when it comes to on road lessons. what i can advise to you, is try to book your lesson, at least one week earlier...last min or finding a slot around a couple of days before surely got no slot for that week....what i can is, go for your pracs first, while around prac 4 or 5 then go book your rtt(if u havent) then put rtt aside and continue your pracs. so by the time you end all pracs, you are left with the rtt! and tp test!

well no more slots on my tp week :/ but booked my road revision 3 days before my tp and planning to book rc the week before.. myabe 4,5 sessions? so nervous!

Have a few doubts here and would like to ask the experience bros here. Was kinda confused by the info given by SSDC booklet.

Because SSDC website says I can apply for PDL once I have BTT. But TP website says I need RTT to apply for PDL.

 

1. Is PDL needed for Theoretical Circuit Orientation Training(Lesson 0)?

2. I already have Class 3. Can I apply for class 2B PDL straight away(since I already passed BTT) or I have to pass RTT to apply for PDL?

3. Similar to question 1. Is PDL needed for Circuit Lessons 1-4?

 

I know it sounds kinda dumb. But thanks in advance

1. PDL is not needed for lesson 0, since you wont be riding. only briefing and stuffs. so the answer to your question 1: dont need PDL.

 

2. i too have doubts about this, but what i heard is that once you clear your 4 theory lessons, you can go and apply for PDL since you have passed BTT before. the best is to give them a call to clear your doubts

 

3. PDL is needed for all 7 Lessons(4 circuit, 3 On-Road) and including your road and circuit revisons. so remember to bring your PDL for every prac you go, if not the instructors wont allow you to ride the bike.

nope. no need to bring gloves or helmet for lesson 0 remember to wear long pants, covered shoes, and if possible long sleeved t-shirts for each lesson....and make sure your helmet is PSB approved

To clarify the above - if you have a class 3 (not sure about requirements if you don't have a class 3), you do not need the RTT to obtain a PDL. You can obtain the PDL, start your practical lessons and then complete the RTT later.

 

As others have mentioned, a PDF is needed for all 7 practical lessons.

For those who registered after 27 Feb 2012, they are required to take BTT and RTT, thus BTT is needed in order to apply for PDL,

 

whereas those who registered before 27 Feb 2012, will only need to take RTT, thus, RTT is needed to apply for PDL.

 

Also you must attend "Theoretical Circuit Orientation Training (Lesson 0)" in order to apply for PDL.

wow, wobbling sure is scary. lol i just enrolled a few weeks ago, planned to finish up all my theories before chiong-ing all my pracs in december. thing is, i still wobble a bit when cycling too HAHAHA guess i needa practise on my cycling first before starting pracs..
