My bike is getting old so hoses that run along the fuel/air lines are starting to harden and showing signs of cracking. Anyone knows where can i purchase such hoses? Casual check with authorised parts dealer shows that they dont bring in hoses. :(

Not too sure whether the hoses are made of rubber or other materials, but they tend to come in black color. :cheeky: definitely dont need them in large quantity, looking at buying around 1metre (maximum).

thanks for any inputs!

Yeah, my bro was finding old hoses for his '93 Civic. In the end he went to buy gas tubing from those refrigerator shops.

There's a shop two shops to the right of FJT at Rowell rd that sells a range of fuel hoses. I got mine from there, but it's very expensive. $18 for a meter I think if I remember correctly. I thought it was daylight robbery.

Aalex82, would you happen to have the address of one of these shops you mentioned? Would like to check it out.

Btw, I suggest not using other hoses for your fuel hose. The hose has to be gasoline resistant, and normal hoses will deteriorate on prolonged contact with petrol. Not a good idea as it'll end up in your carbs and in your cylinder. I think fuel hoses are made from special material.

If you know the ID and OD of your hose, you might be able to find replacements on ebay.

I have a concern about using those cut to length fuel hoses. There are some parts of the fuel line that twists and loops, and i think normal, straight hoses may kink, and restrict fuel flow. An example would be the lines connecting my fazer's fuel pump to the fuel filter. A hose about 8cm long, looping 180 degrees to nozzles about 5cm apart.

Patiently awaiting the time to switch to knn reusable fuel filters, and reusable air filters.

What you wanna know? Smart boy.. ROFL..

You have success in confusing me.

Anyways, I would suggest you restrict this borrowing. It starts small, from finishing your wd40, using your chain lube, borrowing your tools, and then they start treating your stuff like their own.

I locked up my tool box, and I no longer have the problem of missing tools. And those fellows started buying their own tools.

Not to be stingy or what, but a line has to be drawn. Its good that you are happy enough giving the fuel hoses away to your friends, but your friends may start stepping on your head.

At least you guys can say no to your friends. I cannot say no to my family. All my tools all over the house, use my spanner like a hammer, my socket wrench to pry open things etc. Sometimes, i come back home being greeted with bent screwdriver shafts. Headache sia.

Ahahaha! I can relate.

My tools are under lock and key at my work place. My stuff at home, however... my little sister is treating my laptop as her own, my little brother is up all night on my laptop, and i sleep on the sofa as my bedroom is a mess from all the leftover cloth from my mother's sewing machine.

True. The original fuel hose on my bike is firm and the bend is permanently shaped into the hose to clear certain fixtures. The replacement is soft and flexible.

most car workshop should sell, i got mine from a car workshop at yew tee industral, 1.5m at $1x. the hose is actually meant for cars. the price also depends on the diameter of ur tube.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

some updates. managed to get some fuel + air/vacuum hose from this motorshop called 72 motorshop opposite FJT.

he actually had the full length hose in original honda packing, but i dint get that since i dont need that kind of quantity.

price-wise, pretty congruent to what was updated. around $10+ for the full length which i suspect is ard 1metre.

ended up i just bought around 20cm of each type of hose (fuel + vacuum) for $10.

:btw: the mechanic mentioned that OEM hoses are definitely more reliable than unknown brand of hoses.

he also claim that the OEM hoses are not flammable while cheapo ones will burn when u bring it near a flame.

interesting~ anyone wants to experiment? :p
