Hi fellow forummers, I need help with regards to the language section.

I have formatted my PC and reinstall the latest version of Windows XP SP2. The problem is how do I get it to type and read in additional language. I need to type Chinese words at times and access Chinese-based webpages.

Anyone can help with this? How do I go about installing the additional language?

Hi, you will need Window XP CD to install the additional languages.

As for chinese language, you can go to

Control Panel > Regional and Language Option > 'Languages' tab

Under Supplemental language support > check 'Install files for East Asian languages'

By doing that I can support Chinese text writing and reading Chinese-based webpages?

Yup. That will enable you to read chinese webpages.

In order to type in chinese, under the 'languages' tab, click on 'Details' button to add to your language bar.
