Need ur opinion. I am new to blackbird....recently got myself a 05 blackbird.

 

Just went up to sepang over the weekend. Notice that at speed above 150 to 180, the bike tend to wobble or feel a bit jerky. At speed below 140 the bike feels fine.Wonder if any of you has any idea what it could be.

I have serviced the bike and changed the wheel bearings. everything is working fine except for this slight problem.

If the handlebar wobble at certain speeds,i suspect the wheels are out of balanced. As for the jerky does it happens during acceleration?...

Well tyres are just changed......and they are not old tyres(manufactured this year).

 

Jebat: Hmm its not really handlebar vibrating...more of like a horse motion (front back)...during acceleration is fine only while maintaining at speed above 140kmph.

 

I suspect it could be the tuning...any shops to recommend for tuning the EFI?

Hmm..whoa like that you spend 700plus just to solve the problem..Go the cheaper way first by checking the airfliter,sparkplugs,then fuel delivery system(injectors,fuel pump)..I suspect its somewhere near the fuel delivery system.

 

When i got my bb,it was running on 3 cylinders,1st cylinder injector got clogged due to not starting the bike for more than 3 months. Wish i got the copy of the service manual...

Well,its best to learn ur bike in detail.Look into CBRXX forum.Register urself as a member,there's tonnes of problem solving.I learn to DIY on my bike from them.if u own the bike with mileage of 50k and above,i tink its best do valve clearance.Might want to change the fuel pressure regulator too.This FPR tends to go bonkers after a certain period like 50k and above.if u smell unburnt fuel coming from ur exzos,then this is the culprit.If u noe how to change urself,u'll save tonnes of money.

Thank you bros BBs for all the helpful advise. Will look into the fuel delivery system frst then. Prob change airfilter and plugs or even fuel pumps.

 

Yep my mileage is ard 52000km. Previous owner says he has done clearance ardoun 42000km...dunno can trust or not...hehehehe

 

Overall BB is a nice flight down the NSHWY....onli now wish it could be smoother.

is it ethical for a bike shop to cut off ur FI light? after chatting with some fren of mine, i realized my FI might have been cut off by my mech. I realized that my FI light doesnt even light up even after stalling my engine... was wondering if it is safe to ride with your FI light cut off...

 

any recommended workshop that i can go to have my FI light checked? seems like i wont be gg to my regular workshop anymore...

Bro Sujak .. followed ur advice on why suddenly bike cannot start even when HISS and F1 all ok .. it works .. on mainstand it will start but occasionally it wont .. on side stand sometimes work .. sometimes dont .. suspect its battery lah .. need to change ?? Any suggestions ..

if u turn ur keys,shudn't the Fi light be on? Its like a start-up diagnose.
