I manage to locate the ecm and the knock sensor connections.. clean it up a bit still the FI light comes up..

i guess the next best option is to visit ah lai.. not sure how to check for faulty knock sensor or faulty ecm.. is der a way i can check?

unfortunately there's no way to check except to swap in a good one, and rev up to 3000rpm to see if it fixes the problem.

Edited: No need to reset fault codes because you're using an ECM with no prev stored codes...

Maybe the previous owner put in those anti squish foams in the tank

They are sold at MW

supposed to minimise the splashing of petrol in your tank

more of a track bike gimmick

So what happens is that the petrol is actually absorbed by the sponge looking thing... Occupies alot of space and keeps the petrol in...

Hey guys need to get a spare key for my bike

Somehow the cover from my spare key

is missing and the chip gone

So I only have one key that can start the bike

Know where I can get blanks and re-tune?

How much ah?

heard abt the sponge from mw dat prevents ur petrol from splashing and affecting your centrifugal force.. anyway, can try and shine a torch inside your tank and see if ders any alien objects inside..

Wah so many issues huh this week, well i've juz purchased a DRZ handle clamp from a fellow forumer.Quite a gd deal as its much cheaper than a brand new Super4 clamps. But the only issue now is dat i have to bring down the fork so that it will not get in the way for the bars i'm gonna install.Bit by bit and my naked BB or streetfighter will fly or pave the road with my fellow brudders....:)

My orgasm starts at 299km/h.....

if 2litre plus was enough tht means the 3.2l mentioned in the manual mus be including the 1.1l reserve tank.

from my knowledge i think the reserve tank also mus drainout n topup. Anyone can clarify .....?

dats what the mech did.. remove the used coolant.. running water into my radiator and switch on the engine while letting it drain out for a few minutes and then he pour in the 2 litres of coolant inside.. he didnt top up my reservoir also..

ps. I remembered when i change my new radiator, tsp said i must use 2 bottles of engine ice .. dat should amt to abt 5L rite..

I think correct procedure after draining coolant is top up coolant using radiator cap, then let it run awhile, then blip blip the throttle to get rid of air pockets in the cooling system, then re-check radiator coolant level and top up if necessary. Lastly top up reservoir tank.

Should all be in the shop manual.

Yah bro I think this is the correct way cause radiator also need to be bled and there shd be no airpockets in the radiator.. I guess this discussion is for DIY changing of coolant..... I just ddid mine before the Samui thrip and saw the mech do it.... Apprently I was told by him that using water to flush the coolant is also dangerous to the well being of the fins... if use water to fluch then must use airgun and dry out the radiator before putting in coolant.. anyway quite hard to explain online... But I paid 80 bucks for a flush with engibe ice and seems like they used alot....(maybe cause they agent so not so stingy).. flush radiator, then reservoir, fill up radiator, bleed radiator then finish off with reservoir
