haha....whats the normal operating temperature of bb ah? Warm up til wat temp before moving off is ideal? Whats the ideal idling speed? :D the ex owner owner tells me he get f1 2 long beep and 10 short beep cos of the hella horns he installed. anybody have this also?

 

hmmm...anywhere to download service manual for 05 bb? haynes is better right? but i see the haynes only it states 99-02. does it mean its different from 03-07? :X HAHA pardon my laziness..

anywya i am also new with the birdie... i've taken over zesture's birdy. abig regret is that i should have taken his integrated tailamps.. cause now my rear signals is not very clear.. quite dangerous...

Thanx bro. Tried looking up dat forum but cant find any. Ouh really they got many illegal aftermarket exzos huh? Damn!! Im gonna search 4 it..... Thanx again bro.

 

To any of carb model BB riders who intend to sell their bike to shop, do let me know coz mayb we can xchange e radiator and I top up abit....

Illegal exzos many,all u need later is pay Sengkwang for a visit and ask him to fabricate the midpipe only...:)

I've read ur post on CBRXX,as mention pls check ur radiator consistency.Have you done any coolant replacement recently?...BB is normal to get hot la.mine normally hit 105 deg....plus u have to take acc for the recent weather too.....so freaking hot man!!!

I've tried engine ice but still the same. Currently using those normal ones see how it goes. A fren told me to try and use water wetter wic I hav yet to try. Even normal riding (70km/h) ie KPE from tampines entrance to ECP exit, my fan starts to kick off (& btw my fan is kinda very very noisy) & my temperature is almost 3/4 near HOT. Is it normal? Worst still if travel on normal road (stop-go-stop-go traffic light here, traffic light there), the fan will start to activate thus that stupid sound again. Kinda fed up actually!! Dats Y i was considering replacing the radiator to FI model radiator but i guess cant liao.... so gotta find ways..... Luv the bike!! thats Y wanna preserve this black beauty!!

I hated KPE because of the fan

if ure fan is noisy then perhaps ure fan can be cnahed to a new one

Actually I've "changed" to a new the fan oredi (but frankly was not around wen the mech changed it, mayb the mech change or didnt, im not sure dats Y changed with inverted comma) but 1 think for sure the fan sound is still there (before change and after) Anyways, its ok. I guess my BB needs me 2 ride it a higher than 70kmh haha. One day for sure, if God permits, we'll meet up and hear the fan sound from my bike.... Thanx evry1 4 e advise....

Morning meter was fine... Park in hot sun n 5 hrs lata my digital meter half gone... Haiz... Repairs after repairs .... Anyone knows wat happen and can it be fix....? Where to fix it? I still cab see part of it only etc.. The last fuel bar (lol) the mileage , part of tge temp such 1##.

i guess all class 2 bike produce alot of heat, bb's heat is consider ok already.

Bro.... as what we discussed just now... I suspect is 20blinks and 10blinks FI faults... if he said that its caused of the horns then remove the horns and see if the blinking still persist lor...

Fuel Injection ( EFI ) Fault Diagnosis and Checking

 

 

If the fuel injection system ( FI ) warning light on the instrument cluster illuminates when the motorcycle is running, a fault has occurred in the fuel injection/ignition system. The engine control module ( ECM ) will store the relevant fault code in its memory and this code can be read as follows using the self-diagnostic mode of the ECM. While the engine is running and the motorcycle is being used, the FI light will come on and stay on. When the motorcycle is on its side stand and the is running below 5000 revs the FI light will flash, the pattern of the flashes indicating the code for the fault the ECM has identified.

 

If the engine can be started, place the motorcycle on its side stand and then start the engine and allow it to idle. Whilst the engine is idling, observe the FI warning light on the instrument cluster.

 

If the engine cannot be started, or to check for any stored fault codes even though the FI light is not illuminated, remove the seat to gain access to the fuel injectionsystem service check wiring connector, which is a white 3-pin ( 2 wire ) single sided connector inside the rubber boot close to the tail light.

Ensure the ignition is switched OFF then bridge the outer terminals of the service check connector with an auxiliary piece of wire.

With the terminals connected make sure the kill switch is in the run position then turn the ignition ON and observe the FI warning light.

If there are no stored codes the FI light will come on and stay on.

If there are stored fault codes, the FI light will flash.

 

The fuel injection system warning light uses long ( 1.3 second ) and short ( .5 second ) flashes to give out the fault code. A long flash is used to indicate the first digit of a double digit fault code ( i.e. 10 or above ). If a single digit fault code is being displayed ( i.e. 1 to 9 ) there will be a number of short flashes equivalent to the code being displayed.

For example, two long flashes followed by five short flashes indicate the fault code number twenty five. If there is more than one fault code, there will be a gap before the other codes are revealed ( the codes will be revealed in order , starting with the lowest and ending with the highest ). Once all the code(s) have been revealed, the ECM will continuously run through the code(s) stored in its memory, revealing each one in turn with a short gap between them.

 

Once the fault has been identified and corrected, it will be necessary to reset the system by removing the fault code from the ECM memory. To do this, ensure the ignition is switched OFF then bridge the terminals of the service check connector as before.

Turn the ignition ON then disconnect the bridge wire from the service check connector.

When the wire is removed the FI light should come on for approximately five seconds, during which time the bridging wire must be reconnected.

The warning light should start to flash when the bridging wire is reconnected, indicating that all the fault codes have been erased. However, if the light flashes twenty times then the memory has not been erased and the procedure should be repeated.

Turn off the ignition then remove the bridging wire.

Cannot be lei

It says that the short 10 blinks(code 10) is only for the 99-00 model

I remember he said his is the 05...

Anyway best u go to a reputable BB shop to get it fixed

frankly first time i hear Hella horns got FI light problems unless the wiring cock up

ya lo~ the previous owner say 1 leh....he say he every shop they tell him sensor spoil or wat blah blah...den h*L tell him is the horn wiring thats y. any good shops to recommend? maybe its 2 long and 5 short...cos he told me either 5 or 10...i havent go observe yet~ later i go see~ lol.....when warm up the bike...must 70deg den move off to be ideal?

While riding and if the Fi lite comes,stop to the side of the road.Do Not Off ur engine,let it run.Go to Neutral and put down ur side stand for 5 sec then then kick back ur side stand up and count the blinks.For knock sensor it normally starts with 2 long blinks followed by 5 short blinks.Long blinks normally is 2 sec delay while short blinks are per sec.

 

once ur idle is ok normally ard 1100~1500 rpm den its ok to ride.

Oh yes and welcome to the Nuthouse where the riders here leaves their brains at home and armed themselves with stainless steel balls!!!!
