I chose to ride ... And I chose to Ride Hard and Ride Safe ... On a BLACKBIRD.

Past Rides : Ali Baba (P.Ramlee period), Chopper (Disco season), BMX (ET season), Piyo-Piyo (2008-??)

ANyone using "hyperpro" set up? is it good?GOt a quote from motoworld $950 full set including installation...

Also i just shipped in a set of Raised adjustable bars from Convertibars.com(cost a bomb but worth it):slurp:...any one using them?

I'm using the rear shock and front spring kit..all i can say its much more comfortable than the stock due to its progressive springs...plus setting up is very easy, set the front and rear suspension sag..then adjust the rebound on the rear to match with the front.

With frquent maintainence of changing the fuel pump filter will save the injectors a longer time..my 05 bb currently have 161666kms on its injectors..all spraying the same spray pattern and correct amount after 1000cycles..only main problem for bb's are the 25 blinks..

Hi bro, what do you mean by the 25 blinks? Other than the carb model, is there any difference between the FI model with analog speedo and digital speedo?

25 blinks is the code that the FI light blink...it tells u whats the main problem...25 blinks is normal for digital speedo models(correct me if i'm wrong)...if u see thru the manuals or whatever sources it will say the 25 blinks=knock sensor faulty...i did change my KS b4 but after test and test the blinks are still there...i did this at unique toh guan...after all the test the mechanic show me the pages for the FI light it says.."if after changing the sensor and resetting fails..change the ECM and start all over"...so then i change my ECM...it depens also..i've ask around..most mechs say change ECM..but i still wanna try the KS change..so at a total i spent like 1000+ for everything..

haha bro. Some say this some say that. But with frequent maintainance of your bike.. you will be able to monitor all conditions that happens on your bike regardless if the injectors jump out or the pistons fly out... There are people who have 0 experience in BB, only hear about that 25 blinks go and spread to the whole world as if all the bb fleet has this problem. Infact most of our bb here havent really encounter this problem... My bb so far havent got a slightest 25 blink.. the only blink i got was when water got into the system which was solved already... So i would say if you understand your bike and know it well.. You need not fear the blinks..

anyway i am selling my fully kitted bbird.. Touring ready.. if u are interested here is the link..

i guess its on of the more accessoried bbird you can find now...

Fuel pump filter change how much bro?any specific time to change? How to know if the injectors r spraying the same patterns?

Currently I frequent republic motors for my bb maintenance, but i notice that when they service n balance my injectors its no difference from servicing n tuning my cb400 carburator.so im doubtful of the way they serviced my bb injectors.

The fuel pump filter cost about 50ish with labour maybe about 65ish...i diy myself when i'm free..its best to change when you do injector cleaning or testing..if just changing the filter alone, then ride till your tank is in reserve,so you dont need to pump out lots of petrol from the tank.

There is no way you can adjust the injectors. You can only clean the injectors using ultrasonic cleaner and check for spray pattren and metering. If not up to specs then need to change the injector..The one republic is doing is just washing your throttle body and synchronizing the starter valve..

Dear Bros and Sisters,

New BB owner here.

Desparately looking to purchase a BB Mirro extender.

Is anyone selling? or is there anywhere I could purchase one at a reasonable price?

Apparently there arent any for sale on eBay.

Thank you!

Hey snail,

Well, I keep seeing my elbows on my mirrors.

Already tried adjusting, but doesnt satisfy my requirement.

The mirror extenders advertised on a UK website is about 47pounds, which is just a piece of CNC machined hard rubber.

I find it absurd to pay such a high price. Im wondering whether any riders here have extenders fitted on their bikes.

If yes, do let me know where u've made your purchase.

Good day!

Well other cheaper alternative is to put some nut on the mirror screws but the rubber sleeves wont cover that area
