Wow salute you to you guys, must be quite a journey on those machines. I took photo at the same Phuket bridge last december too, can check it out at my profile album... am thinking to go there again this April for the Phuket Bike week....

Haha...yeah thats the word "Buang Tebiat". I will sure to show your post to my frens whos worried too much if their bike can travel to Thailand, they are riding riding S4 and DL1000. Hope this can get them motivated... I'm trying to persuade them to go for the Phuket Bike week but I think i will end up going on my own with my wifey....

I'm intending to replace my bike OEM cam chain tensioner to an after market manual cam chain tensioner (Thumpertalk).

What do you think? any advise...?

there are guys who r juz going up the songkran weekend only - usually they hangout at hatyai and sadao.. then they go back..

then there are guys who specifically go up for the bike week..

Previously i used Motul 300V & a red color coolant (water wetter?) my highest coolant temp is 104celcius..

 

Now I using Liquimoly & engine ice coolant my highest coolant temp hit 107celcius today..

 

Lastly which bike shops carries brand Water wetter coolant ?

Water wetter can get at HLC or Sporting Motors..

The purpose of the engine oil is to lubricate,clean and cool the engine parts. (Older oil will also loose its properties).The purpose of the coolant is to absorb heat form the engine and transfer it to the radiator and to the at atmosphere. Coolant will also increase the boiling point of water and contains rust inhibitors to protect the waterjacket,waterpump vanes and etc..(never topup using tap water or mineral water..use soft or distilled water)

 

Different engine oil and coolant will affect,but not much,as long as it does'nt shoot up to 122 deg celcius then its fine. Been using engine ice since i bought my bb and here's a pic of the waterpump vane at 150 000kms,apparently the waterpump have a mechanical seal leak thus need to replace the waterpump.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/08/4y9ytaba.jpg

 

I've been wanting to try water wetter also but like very hard to find..maybe my next coolant flush i'll try it.

Doctor ar..more of a forklift doctor..but bikes is juz a hobby (which nowdays its been quite sometime i never get it to 299...or even caress her,only get to ride her to work)..

Btw the most bottom light at our headlight area is it known.as pole.light & if so anyone changed it to other colors lighting ? Tot of changing for atheistic purpose

T10 bulbs..changed mine last time to white bulb..but uninstalled it when kenna caught by lta for exhaust n was send for full inspection...Haiz..
