My mechanic found new genuine parts for me in recent months...my speedometer and tachometer were dead and also cable harness, speedo/tacho sensors, gaskets and seals as well.

 

I suppose at some point Honda will stop producing Bb parts altogether.

 

Maybe our "old bird" Bb owners here can share more experience and knowledge...regarding keeping the bird alive for another few years or another COE renewal, year 202X.

 

I found myself looking at some of these overseas websites where Blackbird has a larger following:

Where: F1 Pit via Raffles Boulavard

Time: 6pm

Details: its a photo shoot for the BBS with a backdrop of Singapore Flyer.......reason for 6pm is to get a tint of sunset on the bikes paint jobs for nostalgic effect......

Will meet up at Kallang KFC at 5pm and then roll out at 545pm to the photoshoot location

Equipment: those photography savy please bring your tripod and DSLR for the shoot.....

Recently went for inspection, Viacom upgraded their test setup and looks like very difficult to pass with the link brake system.

Anyone have done a delink locally before?

You tell them that blackbird brake are cbs, its made that way as stock. Both brakes has to be pressed together to make it work. 70% front,30% rear. If they still wanna fail u, u go see their supervisor voz delinking is not a solution, its oredi making ur bike veered from being stock original....

My Bb was on a 40-click run last night, up and down the AYE non-stop. That's my luxury and therapy. Exactly one week ago, the bird was faithful in getting me to and fro several times along the same route...to make my visits...
