Where to replace spoilt IU

My IU spoilt.... Any bros had it replace before? What's the price like? What's the procedure like? Need to go for inspection?.. Any bro can guide me????

 

Or any bro selling second hand?

Hi,

 

U hv to go to any vehicle inspection centre, like VICOM to get replacement.

Your IU unit is registered to your bike, u can't use other ppl IU. Any damaged or faulty IU has to be replced only at such centre. Damaged due to negligence, u hv to pay for the replacement - around $100+. Faulty unit, the centre will replace free of charge.

in addition to wat mambo says, and assuming ur I.U unit is more than 5 yrs, no warranty

 

a new I.U. unti cost about $170++, including the installation.

 

However, to get a cheaper price, go thru a few ERP gantry, wait for 2 wks for a letter from LTA to come, asking u to go for I.U. inspection + summons letter for ERP. if confirm faulty, then they will change it for about $150++..20 bucks cheaper.

 

of course, u still have to pay the ERP charges that the I.U didnt deduct when u passs by the ERP gantry, but any additional administrative charges are waive.

Guys, minor question..Mu IU (new type) is working prefelty but the slip cover has come off as the hinges broke. Anyone has any idea where to get it replaced? I went to Vicom they said warranty is agst malfunction only.
