claiming insurance for an accident in JB should be the same like claiming in Singapore I guess. But in Singapore if you met with an accident with a foreign registered vehicle, you would need to lodge a traffic accident report with the police. Then u can go about ur claiming. The best, I suggest u give ur insurance agents a ring.. though I noe sometimes or most of the times, they can sound like a bunch of dumbos...

Did u met with accident in JB??? hope not..

why should you rely on your shop to make your claim?

write in to the other motorist's insurer and state that you're making a claim.

prepare your evidence - photos, repair costs, etc.

if you still need help, engage a Malaysian lawyer.

He who hesitates is lost!

Sad to hear abt yr case. Accident involving malaysia vehicle has been such a hazard that why motorshop doesn't want to do such cases. It not common that the case is not settle after 3yr. My advise if yr insurance is first party, claim against yr own insurance for the repair first and follow by a recovery from the the malaysia insurance for the excess and yr loss of use. As for yr repair cost, yr insurance will counter claim against the malaysia insurance. Hope tat help...

If It's not a 1st party insurance then can still claim?

I'm afraid no. If that's the case it has to depend on whether yr pefer motoriam is willing to untake yr repair cost.
