Hmmm....why joyride so quiet 1?? Thinking of getting the new joyride leh.. But not much info. Saw a white 1 on the road wth EFI, is that the new 1? Look veru chio wor.. :lovestruck: Too bad i not getting the GTS due to the height and the weight, i cant handle it :sweat:

 

So do let us knw when the road show is, hope to get a gd deal there also.

I have put a review of my GTS 250 on reviewcentre.com under its Australian name of Bolwell Firenze.

 

I have also been experimenting with heavier bar-end weights as I feel that the steering is too light at speed, above 100kmh. The standard bar-end weights on my 250 are 150gm each side but I added another 250gm to each side (using a length of plumbers solder wrapped around the existing end weight to test how it works) and found it much more stable with less vibration at speed.

 

You can buy heavier bar-end weights from Manic Salamander, HVMP or even fit a Throttlemeister.

 

The option I have taken is to fit universal bar-end mirrors which happen to weight around 400gm each. This improves the handling at speed and also gives better vision directly behind you.

anyone of u guys got install woofer on ur GTS? how to prevent thief from "digging" ur bike if really do get the woofer. anyway raining time how?

One way you can prevent such things from happening is to put on bike cover, this way your bike won't catch so much attention from people passing by. Another option is to install alarm, may or may not be useful, depending on situations.

 

During rain usually if you dun turn on your audio system, the rain will not affect the speakers. If you are worried, you can go to those shops that do seat wraps to make a cover that's waterproof for your speakers. :smile:

You can follow this method for running-in, provided you're patient enough at the start:

 

a) 30 to 50km/h for first 0 to 200km

b) 40 to 60km/h for 200 to 300km

c) 40 to 70km/h for 300 to 500km

d) 50 to 80km/h for 500 to 650km

e) 50 to 90km/h for 650 to 750km

f) 60 to 100km/h for 750 to 900km

g) 60 to 105km/h for 900km to 1000km

h) 70 to 115km/h for 1000km to 1500km

The salesman said my bike can be collected in 2 days. I wonder why so fast can collect the bike? No need to bid for COE?? Please advise. Thanks!
