i ride my bike, once every 2-3 weeks. as im not in town most of the time

last weekend, i guessed i pushed my luck too much, and couldnt start.

my question:

how do you guys maintain the battery? its quite a hassle to take in and out the battery each time,i go overseas.

now that its flat, will there be any use to charge it back up again? i got a c-tek charger.

extracted from the "accessories share parts"

2. Battery

- Honda OEM (Kurakawa YTZ12S) - FJT - $170

- Yuasa YTZ12S - Mah Motor Parts - $140

- Yuasa YTZ14S - Mah Motor Parts - $150

- Yuasa TTZ14S - LAB - $70

- Yuasa YTZ12S - KS Motor - $125 [2nd Mar 11]

- Yuasa YTZ12S - LAB - $75 [Nov 09]

- Yuasa YTX12BS - LAB $70 [Mar 10]

another thing: whats the different between the LAB batt and the others? i mean, if the performance is the same, why not get the LAB one? (though im not sure what the different alphabets mean)

Not need to physically take out the battery...just remove the red and black connectors from the bike to the battery. Or anyway is get someone to ride it once every few days....

No it won't discharge if the battery contact points have zero contact with the 2 wires...just in case cover the 2 contact points of the battery with some rubber or other non electrical insulating material. Actually can get those old tyre tube and cut a small piece put it on the battery contact points.

however, its the same size and fits nicely, i plugged it into my viffer, and it works.
