Hi guys... Just bought myself a GSR750.. Already hit 1300km on the odometer.. Looking forward to finish up the running in with a lunch ride to Ayer Keroh A&W this Sunday... Any idea how much the Yoshi R77 pipe cost?

For the exhaust best to check with Hodaka Motoworld. Coz the prices vary on the material chosen. Call them up...I am sure they will answer your query.

Bro, any info where to get headlight protector and belly pan?

Headlight protector will be Ventura (Can get from Hodaka Motoworld).

Bellypan is from PUIG (Can get from Motovation Accessory)

Anyone have a good lobang to help me buy this bike. Big Bikeshop quote me 22K OTR. but they offer me better price for the Triumph Street Triple with a price which I can't resist. So I'm in dilemma now.. Heart says GSR but my brains thinks about the latter.

Fellow GSRians, pls entice my minds in choosing the better bike. Appreciate it. Hope to see you all in meetup soon. ;)

Since you already decide on your bike choice, juz stick to it. If its a Triumph I think I know who poison you...the Bike shop starts with the letter M right? Hhahahah.

You can go to the authorized dealer which is Teo Spray. You can also try and ask A.S Phoon, they can bring in the bike. As for that pricing, it is just the right price, how cheaper you want the bike will determine your negotiation skill.

I got mine a Non-ABS model at 21k. So since its 22k, I would guess that it is the ABS model? Anyway if you dun need the ABS, then it will get cheaper.

Do take note, ABS is not a safety feature, it is to assist in braking. In the end, you have to make your choice.

Sorry to disturb guys. GSR 750 or street triple is 21K OTR?

Ride safe people!!

Triple is dual exhaust under the seat right?

So do take note that it would be much more HOTTER than the GSR as the exhaust is below at the side... well thats the main concern for me as i used to ride R1 and underseat exhausts are HOT soo HOT!

Guys, some common question that you guys might have had answer b4.

Like to know that for GSR400 and GSR750, they share the same frame and all right? Tires size and all? Just that the engine and the CC is different?

If so, is it better to say..

Hold back the urge to get GSR400 and get GSR 750

or

Just get GSR400 would be sufficient?

(I need some "poison") XD

It is totally 2 different bikes with different looks. Try to google and you can see the difference.

Sufficient is a very subjective matter. Example, in Singapore roads, do you really need big cc bikes? Will a kupkia suffice? Some will say Singapore small, small cc bike is OK with them.

Coz it matters to you and not others (Seriously, dun listen to others as at the end of the day you are the one riding the bike). It still boils down to what you want and need. So before getting any ride, try to do some research on yourself and the bikes. Can do research online like youtube, MCN or other reliable forums.

For me, I would like to find the balance between power and ridability in Singapore. This bike fits jus nicely in my requirements, financially, enjoyability and accessories. Hahaha

so I guess we derived at the fact that gsr400 suffice?

hmmm~~ Would it kinda be dumb to say get gsr400 for just a 2A phase and then move on after getting cl2?

As explained earlier, does it meet your needs and wants? There are difference between Needs and Wants. One is necessary while the other is just good to have but if dun need it is still OK. As explained in the example, a person on kupkia will say his NEEDS are satisfied since Singapore is small.

As to your questions, there are some who skip class 2A bikes and goes straight to Class 2 bikes. One thing for sure is the bike's power jump could be enormous for some. Imagine a 22bhp (your R15) bike and you jump to 150bhp (Yamaha R1). It is like 8 times jump. Most will get a class 2A bike (A 400cc bike most are about 50bhp) to get use to a more powerful bike from a Class 2B bike.

Then I might ask you, why not go all they way to a 1800cc bikes like goldwing or even a 2400cc Triumph Rocket III? You dun need to restrict yourself to GSR750. Or if you are looking at middleweight bikes, why not look at Kawasaki or Honda?

So it will be back to yourself again. This one no one else can answer it for you. Although people can influence you on these decisions. Hope the above explains how you can make your decisions. Oh ya Bigger CC bikes means more money (on maintenance and fuel cost) and more responsibility (one of the main issue is speeding).

Im actually more interested on the determinate of how why folks here chose GSR and also the pros and cons of it.

And also are the stereotype of like lower trade-in value, accessory support and the such persist.

Kinda keen on gsr400 and would also like to know more of the machine and the performance. Like any history of faulty parts to watch out :):)

Both bikes dun have to worry about parts. Most original parts can easily get from bike shops, unless it is a special parts that require special order. As for those that says Suzuki fetch a low value when you wanted to sell or trade in, well they are wrong. As long as there is demand, prices will go up. I trade-in my 3 year old Suzuki GSR400 at about 10.5k. I bought the bike 1st hand at 13.5k + interests which is about 14k. So the depredation rate for my GSR400 is about 1k per year. Now cannot compare coz now the market will be different already. Maybe better??? As for mainetance on the 400cc, if you take good care of it, it will last quite long. My stock chain and battery I got it changed after 2.5 years of usage. Sprokets were still good but since changing chain, I change everything.

As for me, I wan a middleweight coz its in the middle of things. Insurance and road tax not that expensive comparing with a 600cc and a 1000cc bike (its juz in-between). I like how this bike respond. I am getting around 21 km/l (working in West, stay in East), relax riding of about 100km/h. Am getting around that amount (slightly more) on the GSR400cc. One advantage, I can hit easily 200km/h on the 750cc ehehehhe.

Juz come down for the meetup at KKFC tis friday to find out more. No point getting inputs here. ahhaha
