actualli...the riding technique also play a part on ur fuel consumption....the more ur throttle...the more fuel goin in....normally if u ride ard 80-90km/h..u can at least hit ard 240/250km...n JETTING too..they might change it to a bigger size..so..MORE FUEL goin in..Modification done will lead to 1 of these..

cheers bro..

Hey guys I need your help. I'm feeling a bit insecure about my '06 Runner's fuel consumption. I had;

Malossi Multivar 2000

10.5 g Malossi Roller

Malossi Air Filter w/ Cover

And I got an average of 150km until the petrol light pops up with 1, sometimes 2 bar left on my meter. Now I have;

Malossi Multivar 2000

12.5 g Malossi Roller

K&N Air Filter

LeoVince 4Road pipe

And I'm already at 120km with 4 bars left on my meter. Should I feel worried?

If you guys can help me post out what you guys have in your Runners and tell me your average FC, then I'll sleep better every night.

i'm not too sure... but just to change part of the fairing for that price? to me... it's a bit too much.

Future is selling after-market fairing (complete set) for 05 Runners and it's priced around $650. comparing this against your case... i think yours is on a high side.

did you ask them for a breakdown of the charges? maybe the gurus here can clarify for you.

Posted

They say they order the fairing from piaggio and cost $450 than later say need to pay $750 because when they remove the broken parts the inner part of the fairing also broke. I havent pay them yet coz i thought i shld jus check here first. btw mine is the 06' version. 6mnths only accident. heart pain sia. :(

i been told full farring set most cost 600-700 plus,it a full set.

Common mistake. A well tuned carb, regardless of size and jettings will

contribute to the same, if not better mileage.

This is because the fuel that is used is beiing optimised to get the kind of

performance.

And as spy always says, "tuning" is not to be confused with just the

air fuel screw being turned while listening to the sound of the engine =D

i have to disagree on tis ... bcoz i think we are refering to a bigger jettings to accomodate the open pod for the bike NOT to run lean .. so if bigger jets of course mileage will drop .. since more fuel is burn ..

and oso if we take a well tune racing carb, wouldn't it be burning more than a well tuned stock carb .. tio bo, bro?

cheers!

thousand apologies... i think i made some mistake in my earlier post

i think last time when i duplicate a set of keys for my runner... it cost me less than $30. & it was thru the bikeshop which i bought my runner from. but mine was the older version of VXR

i have no idea how much it cost for the latest version

the shop next to LAB quote me $60 for duplicating S4 keys

i did not ask him how much it was to make another VXR key
