If got money, just overhaul the old scoot.

It will repay you back with very little headaches for at least 2 years.

yes...if still can ride, secure wif a cable tie n then go to bike shop they will glue it back for u properly

ya it done thank spy ..your bike still in hospital... i saw it today

Whahaha.. i encountered this before on my runner as well. :cheeky: What the bike shop did was to use a metal piece to hold that thing in place. Alternatively, i think can also try those silicon thingy and paste it back. But you would need to let it cure for about 24hrs before u can ride the bike as per normal. I would choose the metal piece thingy as its easier to do and its faster though not as nice as the silicon option

yup shop put a pice of bracket to hold it

if not wrong, price went up to 600.. wow! now got low mount? kekekeke! high mount use non original bracket. normal mount use original bracket(imho better structure) and low mount? i think no bracket... wuahhahahaha! joking ar bro...

other than the looks, performance wise not sure.. dyno anybody? my advise .. stick to normal mount... if spy read tis.. sure he gonna eloborate.. hehehehe!

too lazy to tok abt it liao....as follows is a short explaination on 4stroke exhuast (cut & paste from some webby)

After combustion has taken place in an engine the exhaust gases have to have somewhere to go. In a motorcycle we aim the gases out the exhaust port and into the exhaust pipe. On four stroke racing bikes that pipe could be a long straight pipe or a short header pipe and a megaphone.

The exhaust pipe works because of the pressure waves generated when the exhaust valve opens. These waves travel at the speed of sound (Maybe even faster!) and create positive and negative pressure. Each change in the diameter of the pipe changes this pressure wave from positive pressure to negative pressure or visa versa. By changing pipe diameter and length we can time when the pressure wave is at exhaust valve and help the evacuation of exhaust gases at a specific RPM. The only problem is that this effect can only be one RPM, like 9500 or 8000 or 10,000. If you are set up for one RPM the effect does not work so well at other RPM.

On modern street motorcycles exhaust pipes are usually in two parts. The header pipe and the muffler. The header pipe is usually double or triple walled. This is so the chrome on the outside pipe will not get hot and turn colors. This, to me, makes no sense. That neat purple and blue color on the header pipes really screams "This guy rides FAST!" I guess that's just not the way people think anymore. The muffler it's self has a number of different baffles that quiet the noise of combustion. Sometimes the header pipe and the muffler are welded together. The muffler can also have a removable baffle. Street bikes also have their mufflers inter-connected. A few four strokes like Yamaha's YZF1000R have power valves in the exhaust tubing. If the engine suddenly seems down on horsepower check this power valve. They can carbon up and stop working.

By matching the length and diameter of the exhaust header pipe. The shape of the muffler. The cam timing and lift. The length of the intake track. The size of the carburetor. The shape of the air cleaner and how much air it passes. By matching all these things, the Motorcycle Manufacturer produces a muffler that keeps the noise of combustion down but still allows the engine to produce power at a wide range of RPMs. Now we come along and drill holes in the muffler, throwing everything out of whack, just because we want more noise.

Yesterday, when i came back from office, as i was parking my bike i heard a rattling sound kinda like something is loose coming from the undercarriage area where the main stand is or probably from the transmission area. I really dont know where the sound is coming from. But what really bother me is this bike is just abt 3 weeks old and i've only travelled abt 2500KM and herewith i m hearing this sound. Anyone have similiar experience or can anyone give me any kinda diagnosis? Thanks in advance.

the sound comes when u r moving or already stopped?

maybe it's the clutch slip.. but that happen only when its moving off like my bike....

if not the i dunno already...

u mean when the engine is already off?

perhaps u need to go to the motordiam n check already.

when i last change my belt, there is a nail in my transmission!

how the hell it gets in there sia...

Nope. The engine is still on. Nevertheless its only there when the handle bar is straighten. When its on the right or left and if its on the side stand either the rattling sound disappear. Sighs

haha evilboi i got prob with this when i got bike. fed up till i have to read the manual. u can only adjust before starting the engine. that means. ignition is on but dun start yet. then hold to the clock button then it will blink, then the rest u figure out to adjust the hour and mins.

Header diameter can't be custom anyhow, muz depend on hw much ur bike has been mod...If ur bike is in stock cond,it will be loss of power wit a large diameter header due to too little pressure into the large header. If ur bike is heavily mod,u muz try wit different diameter size of header to match ur bike to give the max performance.:cheeky:

You have the same problem as mine. Take a torchlight, bend down (exhaust pipe side) look into the engine bush. I guess your would see a piece of flat loose metal there at the engine bush. That should be the ting causing the "ting ting".

For mi, i would have to go down to shop to verify the problem as well. If it's gotta do wif the engine bush...... than headache liao.
