Hi Ninja,

From Bentong, I estimated it will be an additional 2 hours as compared to the ECH regular route.. haha.. depending how you ride and stop along the way. However, if you have the time this is one hell of a ride! I am confirmed on the trip coming mid Jul for my route 8 exploration.. still looking for ride kakis! ;-)

Hi Stealth,

i'll be riding to Lake kenyir on 20th of July,Instead of riding thru route as ninjapura rode.,

will be riding thru NSHW/karak and merge into route 8,probably i can save some time to reach there early.

Do take note that although the route is easier, the distance from Singapore Via North South Expressway E2 --> E6 (Kuala Lumpur) --> E8 (Kuantan) --> Exit Kuala Barang is about close to 800KM (440KM from KL to Kuala Barang) ((350KM from SG to KL). You might want to exit the highway at Yong Peng and head towards Kuantan via Segamat. Saves you about 250KMs or so

Well.. I think it depends which type of ride you are looking for. Personally I prefer the Segamat route.. think you might not save that much time as compared to the NSH route. I think bro Palmer is referring on the ride to Kuantan in his post, which is certainly true if you take the Segamat route. ;-)

OTOH, I am still leaving coming Wednesday for Genting. Anyone keen to join me? Will not be going at neck-breaking speed though.. ;-) Just PM me if interested. Ride safe everyone!

Hi guys,

Just came back from my ride... Twas superb! Used the Bentong-Gua Musang-S Pulai route on the way there and Sg Koyan route on the way back... These are roads made for bikes! Enjoyed it a lot.. Was screaming in my head all the way while doing those high speed sweepers! Thumbs up...
