SBF X9 Cafe 2008 - Amalfi/Evo

Need urgent help here! My side stand gone hairwired liao.. Juz now i put down my side stand, engine off itself.. Den now i try to start the engine regardless wif side stand up or down oso cannot liao.. Anyone noe how to solve this? If cannot solve haf to tow to bike shop liao.. =(

1st. Check your fuse, see whether the fuse is blow off.

2nd. If fuse never blow. Try to on your headlight see got any lights & check your voltmeter whether is it active or just stay there or lock your bike n check the alarm system(every x9 has one) the red blinker light got keep blinkering anot.

3rd. Battery might have gone flat. You'll have to change a fresh new battery if this happen or you can choose to take out your battery and bring over to the bike shop and ask the mechanics to help u recharge your battery. One new good dry cell battery would cost u about $60. But i recommend u change battery better.

My headlight is still on.. Voltmeter reads at 12V with headlight off.. REd blinker oso blinking.. I think is the side stand safety thing spoilt.. Cos previously my side stand safety oso haywire liao... means i can start engine with my side stand on.. But today when i put down my side stand, engine dies itself.. When i try to ignite again, no sound at all.. haiz.. guess has to tow to bike shop liao..

Is your Engine stop switch in the 'on' position or is it in 'off' postion Should be in 'on' position.

 

Like Simmz bro mentioned, check all the fuse in the front compartment and underseat compartment.

 

If you know how to check, check on the side stand, there is a connector in the main body that connect it to the stand. Previous owner might had disable it.that's why you could still start up your bike when the side stand is down. Not advisable to disable it as it serve as a safety feature.

Thanks for all prompt replies! problem solved liao.. I play ard witht the side stand and finally manage to get the safety thing off.. Now there is no wire connected to my side stand = no safety measure..

help needed!! today i ride my x9 then halfway at ECP the engine die off...when i wan to start it cant start...but waited for 10mins my bike start again..then i faster move...but it stop 4 times and took me 2hrs to reach home can any one tells me wat happen???? thanks alot!!

eh bro... u got check ur spark plug? maybe spoil liao... as for the side stand thingy... my bike oso has the same problem~ when i kick down my side stand the engine will die off~ but i dun really care~ juz remember to press off b4 u kick ur side stand down... like that wun have alot problem~ better consult a mechanic asap. for me~ sigh... my bike keep leaking petrol out... like leaking out my $... juz pump full tank~ today came back the tank left about 3/4 juz came back n check~ left about 1.8/4 petrol... sad... and also advice to our fellow x9 riders... dun on ur sound system or wad so ever when your engine is off~ this will drain ur battery even faster...

bro. did u monitor ur voltmeter? i tink oso might be your coolant problem like wad archenemy bro mention... btw anyone here got any tips n advice on how to take care n maintain the air coolant? how to make it more durable n oso wun get heated easily? and wad coolant water you guys use? i seen there's the blue ice n the purple ice @ shop~ wads the different?

did u check if the ground has any petrol?if yes than change ur fuel hose

Thanks for ur advise but my problem is solved le.. Thanks.. Yah me also pump petrol to full indicator oso wun show full one..

after changing fuel line can ressolve problem? or need to change the sensor.

first few tank my bike can detect full, then become slightly lower now when fill full tank.

Guess u have to change to rubber fuel line...As the stock line is made of plastic...After a long time of usage it will be harden and brittle....

 

As for the sensor thing...U can change as many time if u want but the sensor always spoil..Even mine too...Unless u dun pump yr petrol till the tip of yr cover..Meaning to say u put the gun in and pump till it auto stop...

hmm..some told me it useless to change the thing

 

so i judge by milage

 

for me once reach 250km i will pump

 

it would cost me about 9 litres plus

like tat u can top up @ 300km. maybe pump another 2L nia.

went to bike shop this morning... wa my pipe burst... sian~ cost me about 30+ and wasted alot times... besides the fuel is leaking... my coolant water is oso leaking... the reddish color water leak out... let's hope no more thing happen.. will broke if this keeps happen...

went to bike shop this morning... wa my pipe burst... sian~ cost me about 30+ and wasted alot times... besides the fuel is leaking... my coolant water is oso leaking... the reddish color water leak out... let's hope no more thing happen.. will broke if this keeps happen...

The water pump cost u a BOMB already...

 

How long since the last change yr water pump...

any idea how much will it cost to change the coil? guess mine is spoiled coz the voltmeter always read 11~11.5 whwn idling, and max only 12.5~13 when travelling...
