for me radio i just buy the $20 speaker from pasa malam, put battery, stick it in the space at the windscreen along with ipod. then got radio already loud enough to hear quite clearly. then dont need to worry if people wanna steal cos can easily just keep under the seat when done. cheapskate way to do but it works! :cheeky:

anyone install radio on your x9?

you'll have to pay for the radio license fee... but wad u can do is install the system with mp3... find the phone adaptor... connect your audio jack with the adaptor n connect with your mobile phone with radio enhance feature... and tada! you got your very own radio system liao~ n wads more no antenna is required!

oh yah anyone know what to do about the fuel consumption? mine is damn bad, last time i fill 10+ litres then havent even reach 200km, and that's about 18km/l. thats damn bad compared to 23km/l which is the norm right? i ride an amalfi X9 by the way.

thanks for all the help.

I have the same bike with similar problem few months back. It was around 17-18km /l and these were what I have done.

1) Change to minimum 95octane petrol. I switched to 92 some times ago when fuel price got higher not knowing the recommended fuel is 95 octane and above.

2) Mechanic clean up the air filter which is over flow by engine oil and clog the filter.

3) Some fine tuning in the Rev

No major repair or parts changed. It improved but is still only 21-22km/l.

Maybe after the next belt service, it will go beyond that.

regards

if you're really thinking of getting the speaker, try to bargain for 15 bucks. haha :cheeky:.

oh, half tank 160 is quite okay, full tank is about 14litres if im not wrong.

10-11 litres is when the needle just reach the first red dot. usually by then it clocks about 200? 190? thats what mine usually does.

RPM at 2 is quite alright because once it drops below 1rpm, the bike sure to stall, how i know, cos i was waiting at traffic light then suddenly die on me, lucky its still red light. :cheeky:

but anyway to adjust RPM must use a screwdriver, a long one. then there's a compartment under the seat near the front, unscrew and open and then inside use the screwdriver again and adjust the RPM preferably while the engine is turned on i think. Well, that's how i did it. hope it helps. :thumb:

Can apply many layers of amour all...

Else can try cockpit shine or Unuse Engine Oil (Will be more messy as is take more time to dry)
