For your engine idle speed, open your seat and if you look at the front portion of where the tool kit is usually put, you will see a small square cover. Open that up and you will see your carb. From the top of your carb as you look at it, you will see that on the right of it, you will see a Philips head screw. That is the idle speed adjuster. Hope this helps. Sorry that I can't help you with the side stand question.

might be the exhaust intake manifold melted liao.. is the symptom like when come to traffice light the rpm slow down, hear sound pop pop pop pop, or sometimes lowlow rpm, engine die off suddenly....

better go under your engine and check anytime melted, use torch light also. adjust the rpm, air intake of the carb is only temporary measure only, if your;s a new bike.

Lao jiao X9 riders, need sum help here.. My side stand safety measure is spoilt, means i can ignite my engine even when my side stand is on, budden on the LCD the (X) red logo is still on. Anyone knows what's wrong with my bike? And also how to adjust idle engine RPM? Mine duno y became ard 1RPM and bike oftens die at traffic light.

There is a rotary switching unit attached to the side stand. It is at the pivot point where the sidestand flips up and down and is mounted via a bolt. You can loosen this bolt using a spanner and take out the switch to inspect for fault by rotating its switcing level. Hope this helps.

Without the lever u still can adjust the side stand switch until the (X) light off, when ignition at ON.

Do not put it back to the side stand if the lever already break.

inspire, I have the same problem as you. I recently taken over a pretty X9, just done full service... belt.. rollers... blah..

Just about yesterday, when i came back to my MCP, i noticed the idle speed like slowing down... to a point like got a kok kok sound and going to die anytime like that. Is it overheat? so nevermind, i just park . Next morning it was ok, the idle speed sounds ok again. then i go out... traffic light , i feel the rpm is like weaker again!

What's happening? Is it due to the run in process after changing belt? or overheat? or maybe tuning is bad??

Please advice!

btw, i stay in sengkang any neighbours? =P

Last time one of my friend kenna, he go to distributor ( pls see the x9 authorised spare parts dealer ) and buy two hose ( black colour, look like radiator hose with hose clip) and he fix himself, cost less than S$30. After that problem solved. He told me that x9 engine very hot below, so got to do periodical inspection for all the rubber and plastic parts anywhere near the engine and exhaust.

hope this helps.

Btw, i saw some x9 on the road changes their small headlights ( the small one tat is beside the main headlight ) to different colours. How much does it cost to change the small headlights and is it legal to do so? Looks cool and might consider changing it..

I have changed mine to blue colour. So far no problem on the road. However, you will need to remove it when going for vehicle inspection.

Ya, the lights will not pass the vehicle inspection. For TP wise, I am not so sure. All these while still ok.

TP usually concern more on traffic offenses, if a white bike stop you and his number plate start with "ROV", then "Siao Liao"...
