anyone interested in A&W (maybe also a walkabout at JUSCO) this Sunday (20/07/2008) afternoon?

someone suggested the trip... so i guess he also volunteered to lead the way

 

how about...

1.30pm: meet at GP esso (top-up, drinks, smoke, pee, or whatever)

1.45pm: set off & relaxed cruise to A&W taman uni

(distance ~22km if via mutiara rini/gelang patah)

2.30pm: root beer float

4.00pm: set off for shell gp

4.45pm: top up "non-subsidised" petrol

5.00pm: set off for sinkapor

5.30pm: fly the SWing on AYE/KJE/PIE/BKE/SLE/CTE/ECP/KPE/TPE/...ERP?

 

rules? be punctual, be safe and be self-responsible

pls don't push yourself to go if feeling unwell (includes sleepy, drowsy/horny on medication, etc.) ... there's always another trip in

Personally, i think SW is not that bad of a tourer. Perhaps windblast too strong is due to the make of your helmet?

I stuff earplugs for my trips. Psychologically i can't hear the "windblast" this way. Seriously though.. i never felt the windblast that significantly to affect me even at 150km/hr.

 

Float at high speed? I travel with my gf for my trips. Maybe its the extra weight, thus can't feel the floating. Have to ask those who tour single rider for comment.

 

Some class 2 bikes do not have windshield, thus they cannot hold at highspeed for long, unlike SW. Then again, of cos for bikes such as STX or FJR, sure no prob. Think it depend on the group which u travel with ultimately. Not every group travel at speeds of above 160km/hr each time.

Probably becos me not get used to travel at speeds too high.

Always worried that I may hinder the group if most are bigger bikes.

 

Anyways, will try to join some of the rides when time permits.

Must bring my bike for longer trips... Genting, Ipoh or Penang!!!

i share this same feeling too... keen to join encik pat and company for their regular trips (they went port dickson today) but after looking at their bikes, i felt paiseh to slow them down coz i prefer not to go above 130km/h
