Scooby using the IUH24.

I'm using the IUH24D.

Recently tried the IUH24 but can't get used to it. Pickup/Power was better but hor, need a bit more wrist power after 90km/h.

Most probably I'm too sensitive liao. So changed back to the D version and everything back to how I liked it.

frankly speaking, I'm not sure wats the difference between the two? :p

Sorry off topic but help needed!!!:bouncefire:

Was riding at about 105km on the 90km/hr KJE going towards Jurong, then saw TP at overhead bridge at CCK this afternoon. Too late to react.

Will I get fine or izzit 20km above speed limit then they will fine?????

And also which speed camera more accurate in catching speedsters?

Those camera fixed at the middle of the divider or the portable ones manned by TP on top of overhead bridges???

Was riding at 106km on the 90km/hr KJE but towards BKE on tue ard 1710hrs n saw TP on that popular overhead bridge......

Guess oso hav to wait 2 wks to find out. Sianz...

Sry for off thread.

LAB says that the Iridium IUH24 has increased price from $15 to $17.

I still got some stocks, clearing at $15 each.

If need can let me know.

That's why I normally travel at 90-100km/h and mostly in 2nd lane.

Don't think TP will bother to look at me.

No grow white hair and wrinkles even if caught on their candid camera.

The difference is in the L-shape metal thingy (don't know actual terminology).

IUH24 has a groove that's suppose for better combustion and increase power.

D version is flat, just like all other normal plugs.

So which one gives better mileage?

This factor is very important to me now. . . . .

Don't have data for IUH24 cos I only tried it for half a day.

The D version mileage no much diff from normal plugs, just smoother performance.

But you may want to experiment on the EO though.

I started my SW with Maxima 10/40 (cos wanted to try something diff) and managed 25km/L average.

Just changed to my favourite Mutol7100 and for 2 petrol fills, getting 26km/L.

Not sure its the EO or becos more expressway travel nowadays.

Hey Guys,

I am looking to change my tyres (front and back). Looking for those semi-off road types. Anyone got any recomemndations and price listings? Currently using bridgestone but don't really like it. Anybody else wanna change tyres too. Maybe can do together...

Cheers..

Maybe you want to try some Motorcar tyres - Cheaper lah !!

Some SW owners tried in the USA & Europe and reports not Good.

For goodness sake Guys the SW is a SCOOTER and very long wheel base - Thus the use of Nobblies or semi off road tyres will just not work. Stick to the IRC, Bridgestones, Michilin, Perelli or even Dunlop or Avon tyres made for your model.

Haha. Kris is funny.

But the SW so fun sometimes I also want to corner it like a scram (leg down and lean out).

Off road? Tried a short dist from main road to Gunung Belumut base and I was shaking from head to toe from the vibration. Pity my bike.

All scooter suffered when travelling off road, even the very mild type. This is due to its short suspension system.

I using Burgman and after travelling in Thailand with it miles of bad road construction, when on closer inspection you can see some of its pop rivets just disappeared. Furthermore you can see that the tupperware separate slightly.

The only good about travelling on our type of scooter is the good sitting position. You dont feel the pain that much even if you rode to Hatyai in a day.

For Braking brake pads, there're different materials for every model of brake pads. For example, the SM1 also know as semi metallic pads have tiny pieces of metal bits. This allow instant braking power. But it eats the disc, heat up very fast and wear fast also. There're also other different materials like the CM33 & the CM55 which the other big bikes are using. This 2 models, Dun wear the disc or pads tat fast & dun heat up tat fast, but more pricey.

Just visited Autobacs at Ubi.

Bought a bit of stuff for bike cleaning and an electric air pump.

I was surprised to see LED Headlights (H7) available too.

Anyone ever tried it before?

I know LED should lasts longer and uses less power but not sure whether the light intensity/range same or better than normal.

Also just fixed a throttle cruise control thingy (palm rest) bought at LAB for $3.

Now even more lazy to twist throttle... only press with the palm whenever I hit the expressway.

Dude, don't get me wrong. I just wanted to know as to what type of tyres would be suitable cause I tried the Bridgestone and it is not exactly good. So that was why i asked. i was not lookin for a cheaper alternative.

Car tyres are good I suppose. Will let you know when i can try to fit it onto my bike :dot: :dot:

cos for bridgestone the model is Hoop. the rear is not bad. but the front, when at wrong tire pressure or when your front fork is too soft or too hard, the front tire can be quite slippery when ground is wet. play ard with your tire pressure
