I think there's a technique to park heavy bikes like SW on main stand one, right??

Getting my SW on Tuesday, so can't comment much... :cheeky:

i believe the technique is all the same for all bikes/scooters. both legs of the main stand must be firmly on the ground. its just the amount of strength you need to use + momentum.

Oh i see. Thanks for sharing yr experience. Manual recommends 1.3k +/-100. U recommend 1.2k. So which is better? Will affect FC?

1.3k -100 is 1.2k mah.

Mine abt 1,250

:cheeky:

Why are people who ride motorcycles called bikers and people who ride bikes called cyclists?

Yup.............

If im not wrong, New SW 400 that Boon siew bring in are Euro versions...

This has been the case for about 1.5-2yrs. If shops still have new JDM like wat u say, it is maybe either PI or has been left to rot in the shop for the past 1.5yrs :giddy:

Btw, euro version has received thumbs up over JDM version by fellow forumers...

Reason being:

1. petrol consumption better

2. pick up better

3. Top speed higher

Answer to Hilfiger,

I been having Hondas since 1968, raced them, toured with them and when i was based in Japan made a nuisance of myself at their Factories and Development facilities. Made a lot of friends with their Engineers and Test riders and we still keep in touch. I am basically a very Technically orientated person and do on occasion ask a lot of Dumb questions. When i got my first SW (in Japan) i set the idling RPM to 1000 after 2000 KM then when i visited their Service booth the Engineer scolded me and showed me by diagram and specs that there was not enough speed to drive the oil pump and over a period of time as the oil deteriorated the lubrication was virtually nil at the idling speed of 1000RPM.

As a matter of interest dont you find that the engine practically hesitates when you try to accelerate from 1000RPM. The pickup is smoother when the idling speed is at recommended level.

thanks for sharing the insider tips :thumb:

Hi SW bros..

Just got my bike today. Gun metallic colour, FBC plate.

Just realized that my bike is 2006 model..

No wonder shop selling for 11.8k for 26yrs old..

Thinking of fixing an alarm on my bike.

Do u guys think it will affect my warranty?

Heard that shop need to strip off all the faring in order to do the stuff....

Any bros here has fix an alarm on SW 4?

Any good alarm brands to recommend? :)

Thanks for your time, in advance.... :thumb:

Eventually after a number of tries, u should be able to do it at ease liao...

Just be more careful not to drop the bike while trying to put on main stand :thumb:
