Well, i change to this Michelin model as it was recommended by a fellow SW bro who went up to Penang last week in rainy conditions. As you know, there's a lot of cornering near that part, and the tyres worked very well in rainy conditions some more. :cheeky:

Btw, interested to go KL some time in Dec or Jan?? :)

I used SC1 to keep the black part clean... So far so good. Dirt and sand and be easily clean off.

BTW, Should be changing my transmission oil this coming 10,000km servicing.

Any brands and rating to recommend?

Also, anyone uses MAXIMA Cool Aide before also?

:help: Anyone can ans my questions?

Hi,

What does it mean by 'balancing of tires' or 'wheel balance'?

Is both the same?

Any bros can help with this query? :) :)

Tink its the same...

Aim is to prevent uneven wear and tear of tire due to the imbalance of the tire.

Think wheel balancing also improves straight line stability of the bike, especially at higher speeds.

Even the smallest spark can start a massive forest fire...

So, how do the mechanic do it?

Isit a very elaborated process??

Expensive?

The reviews on the IRC tires u have always heard from are not those made in Japan 1s right? Wat i've learn from a few SW riders is tat the stock IRC is made in Japan. Works very well on wet and dry. And most scoots (ranging from small to big CC scoots) using the Pilot Sport tires, complain tat its very slippery when in wet. But when dry, perfect. Most tires works ok during dry. But in wet, ?????

For your info, the Michelin Gold Standard is a touring tire. Thus works well even in wet. But the Michelin Pilot Sport is a GP style tire. Can't work during wet. Even big bikes also complaint abt this tire.

I tried pilot sports on my majesty 250 before....

Thumbs down for the tire :nono:

fishtailed quite a number of times during wet weather.

they just but your rim on a balancing machine lor..

then put the small piece of weight on your rim.

usually they will do it for you free when changing the tires procivded they have the machine

Having the machine is one thing, problem is our scooters' wheels are usually of a smaller diameter, so some shops may not have the right type of adaptor to be able to fit the wheel to the machine.

Too bad in S'pore, Gold Standard no sizes for SW.

Yeah...

Can request?

Btw, guys..

i noticed that the reviews on the Michelin Pilot Sports tyres are not done on any SW 400. Pls do correct me if i'm wrong.

We shall post the review on this tyres after the Rainy Dec season.

Someone just told me that due to the weight of the SW 400, Michelin tyres should be OK on wet surface.. :)

Well, we shall see!

After all, its been proven by a fellow SW-inger in Penang last week (wet weather). :thumb:
