Congratulations to those that passed 2B.

blythe, wobbling is a common issue. Even slight shaking is considered wobbling. Your instructors will be able to tell you how to reduce that. Keep trying and chin up, you will get there eventually!

When i went for my CR the day before TP, an instructor told the group of us that to prevent wobbling, we need to check our blind spot earlier instead of doing it while turning. He said that most points are conceived due to wobbling and blind spots.

Don't give up blythe, keep trying ya :)

Okay here're the pointers from my recent experience:

a) Very often students check B/S too late. Should check 1 to 1.5 car lengths before turning.

b) Arms are too "soft" and not firm enough to keep the bike on its course (but should not lock arms... you have to practice to get it right)

c) Eyepoint again is sibeh important. Look at where you are going and turn the bike accordingly.

I actually dedicated my final CR before my TP to practising my turns. I went through 2B before and knew I got many points from wobbling (total: 18 points, just passed), and I didn't want it to kill me again. Despite my practices, I still got like 8 - 10 points for wobbling. So frankly this (plus safety checks) are the killers.

words of wisdom... shall keep that in mind.

btw wobbling refers only to when you're already riding or when you move off too?

Posted

There are two categories for wobbling:

a) wobbling when moving off/stopping;

b) wobbling when changing lane/negotiating bend/turning

For blindspot there are two categories:

a) Failure to check blind spot;

b) Improper checking of blind spot.

Of course you're going to ask "what is 'improper checking'"? I suggest you ask your instructor :D

I don't know if you can get the checklist from your instructors or not. There're 4 pages worth of checklists. But this is the reason why the instructors like to nag at you. They are not exaggerating when they tell you you can get points for this and that. Bet you didn't know you can even get points for "brake whilst negotiating bend / turning".

Rather than learn what you should not do to get points, it's easier to remember what you must always do (the list is shorter ;) ) Check here, turn there, signal here, turn your head etc.

eh, i'm not trying to boast myself or what, but all these are my hard work and persistence throughout the past 1 year.

Why i still able to remain so positive despite of my previous 2 attempt that i failed is because i put in effort and know that i done my best alrdy. So the resentful feeling was not there.

u guys can go and calculate how much i had spend in 2b le..

it's abt 1.7k liao....

Your persistent is very admirable.... I met a lady learner ..during my last CR...she told me that she took 9 times of L7... I guess she is very determined to get her L2B... also.....

i think you got most point on the road...may be could have more RR.... ..

From Honda's Phantom to ..................

Clearing each stage at SSDC and BBDC for bike license was fun !!!

Admirable spirit! I believe your failures will make you a better rider. Keep on going!
