anyway guys. hows the helmets at ssdc? haha. can use? =D

SSDC MHR helmet quite new de, so shouldn't have issue with the smell.

The answer is NO. Not that I go to track (soon, soon). But the school teaches us at max 40km/h and on-the-road speeds are usually 70km/h at least. I don't think it takes much to conclude that the skills we attained in the schools are barely adequate.

So it's important to continually improve. Visiting this forum and speaking with fellow riders on their experience helps. Reading up on biking especially bike control helps. Attending sessions like Hazard Oriented Vision helps. Attending advanced riding courses (defensive riding but I hope there're more comprehensive courses like those conducted by HRC in Australia) helps. Going to track does help because you will be able to test the limits of yourself and your bike in safer conditions, thus allowing you to find out first hand how your bike will handle and how you can handle your bike. But it doesn't mean you can't already ride safely on the roads with what you have now if you don't go to track.

Good luck and ride safe!

HOV, is it a course?

Yes, I'll take note of it thanks for clearing my confusion.

Track Riding will help u improve on how to handle ur bike better.

Provided u know what are the important things to learn.

And u can't learn these stuff from school. I've learn thru reading lots of books abt Track riding and watching videos.

Track Riding will not help u learn how to avoid danger.

resources from library mah?

thanks for clearing my doubts.

I used the SSDC helmets for class 2B, 2A and 2. Even when I had my own helmets for 2A and 2, and even when they changed to M-Fizz which doesn't suit my head shape.

So the short answer to your question: yes, you can use the SSDC helmets.

He who hesitates is lost!

was in a private estate, the one behind potong pasir.

even it was private estate, its illegal to ride on a bike w/o valid licence.

doesnt matter where, people here doesnt tolerate/practice riding without licence...

you can do it at ur own private time. just dun say it out here.

there have been history of people like you saying it out and getting into a war of conversation.

just a 2 cent worth advice, have a nice day.

Had my Lesson 1 today, quite fun though the weather was a killer.

Had a 38yo uncle taking it for 'collection of license', an aunty with 15 years of on-circuit 'experience' in my session, another 2 petite ladies (one 30+, another one probably 19/20).

The ladies had a few falls, one of the guy fell while riding, but nothing serious. Grasp the basics easily but still unsure how they mark you and allow you to proceed to the next level, thought I could complete Lesson 1 in one-go. Not that I'm complaining cos I learn a lot today.

For learners, how many times did you went for Lesson 1 before you move to Lesson 2? And Is there any test on any criteria before they allowed you to move on?

Mine today was orientation+move off/stop+gear1/2 and that's it.

i took like 3 times, i believe..

there isnt any criteria i believe, what they see is if you can actually ride or not.

thats the most impt point. (:

I passed !

congrats bro ! what bike and when ? =D
