hi guys,

just wanna confirm something. a friend of mine who is born on year 1992 told me he tried enroling for class 3 but could not as the counter staff told him, for those born 1992 or later, they only can enrol after they turn 21 years old.

is this requirement also true for class 2b?

Class 2B - 26/03/2009

Class 2A - 01/06/2010

Class 3 - 10/07/2009

Rides(s)

1) Honda TA150 - 20/04/2009 to 31/08/2014

2) Honda CB400 Ver S - 12/07/2014 to ???

back from practical, learning at new driving centre

i had some difficulties trying to locate new ssdc.

1) there were lorries by the side blocking the entrance, no signboards to direct, so by luck try to find the ssdc building and the entrance in

2) almost went in to the wrong entrance (into the circuit entrance) instead of main entrance -.-"

3) didnt know that bike lot are on the left after turn in so end up parking in one of the car parking lot at 2nd storey :/

4) there's no machines/ counters, so for those people who like to get there and book on the spot, please book before you go :)

new circuit is good learning ground for lower practical to learn, courses are near to each other and each circuit at different storey is just meant for that lesson so lesser traffic.

but i feel test circuit is alil too cramp. there is tendency to miss a junction and quite a few courses will have your bike in an awkward position when the bike needs to do a sharp turn after junction (eg. crank course)

figure 8 need to just maintain, harder to do the 'open throttle' power up cos its kinda shorter dist.

seems like alot of blind spots with so many junctions, pillars and the returning back to end point is most dangerous of all, big pillar blocking your vision, yet theres possibilities of lorries or people walking after your turn at the bend.

i guessed we just need to get use to it.

I got pretty lost with the test route as well lol.. =X turned into the wrong crank course during my practice, coz the bike crank course is just beside the car one.. didnt notice until i went there and notice the size abit different lol

The day which u saw me doing the bumpy course at level 2 i went to the wrong circuit lol..

Morning 750 reach ssdc AMK.. coz before booking the slot it says do not report to ssdc (woodlands) until 3rd march or something..

Then turn my cbr4 to track mode to fly to woodlands for the prac1 Zzz

So happened that 24th i enroll 26th my prac1 and i'm the 1st batch of trainee to use the circuit!! lol coz when i reach there for prac 1 only got 1x s4 and me nia lol

same here, i thought i saw crank course, turn and realised its for car -.-"

trying to mislead us, but is okay, after few practise, i remembered to go all the way till the end, do a wide turn more to right (as if driving some bus) and stop to position bike in line ready for the course. :)

Wah, so jiatlat ah? I was hoping to see the new SSDC to be something like fresh, clean and shiny, but after hearing your stories, it seems like it's in a mess!

Any of you ever come across this brash Chinese old bike instructor? Probably in his late 40's or 50's, small built with lotsa grey hair. Gives you the impression he's an old-time illegal racer cos he's skills is really good and his language is nowhere near polite.

If you comes under his charge, he is fiercely protective of you and earnestly wants the best for you though his methods may be harsh. Once a private car honked at us for blocking the road, he went over to the instructor's side and motioned to start a fight. Afterward he took his time out when I asked him for pointers.
