Agree.. If u r a smaller size rider.. then a Stromer is Gd.. but if u r small, short and stomach big... and intend to test ur strength .... VARA is for u.. Both bike has its pros and cons... overall.. U'll enjoy both.. That's for sure :cheeky:

Cost estimation in Samui

Ok...So let me do the estimated sum up for this trip

In Rinngit === RM 550[/color

In Baht ==== 12,370 Baht = est sin $526 & sin $435 with twin sharing room

Note:

I'm planning at slightly high side, cost will be cheaper on that day due to hotel stay. Pls let me know if i have left out anything....

Hi bro, thanks for breaking it down, its nice to compare costings even b4 we meet for the LC meetup.

Kinda freakishly, i have also worked out my costings ard your way. Same. For what was mentioned, i predicted it spot on.

I must say that my extras that i put into this trip was based on my last experience in Samui. That was 10 years ago. I remember not having enuff cash back then since i was a student. I have definitely included quite a bit more for RnR, clubbing in Samui, Partying in Pangan, Having a ball in KL. Mainly becos where we are going is good and famous for having a jolly good time and i wouldnt wanna lose out in the fun becos of budgeting.

Samui in my mind is still a gorgeous party island with tonnes to do. Even like snorkelling and stuff. Also I must add that its almost a must for me to rewrap my seat cover ala corbin style since we gonna be in hatyai for two nights on the way back. Ok its decided then, my reasons for the amazingly crazy budgeting is in fact due to RnR, ECA, CCA and what not.

Maybe for the bad boys of VARA, you might wanna standby that 1600 i budgeted. In Samui, i remember, the skies the limit.

See u guys in 15 hours time.

Cheers all,

Zac

Yeah, i guess boon siew wants to release that EFI sitting there for the longest time in their showroom. I wouldnt know how to go about getting 07 EFI. Maybe a parallel importer can help?

VARA, anyone can help with the 07' EFI?

Regards

Zac

I was speaking to old Lee at Loois last week, he is bringing in a lot of parallel stuff including Ducati & Guzzi ???? Mentioned the Vara but he said he has none on order, no demand leh! Suspect it's down to what the margins are in the end, Honda have a reputation for being tight. :goodluck:

Vara is gone but back strain lingers on o_O

Dinie >> If you stil pondering about whether to get a Vstrom or a VARA, its best to talk to someone who rode both bikes before..

So you may wish to PM our resident VARA honory: forum nick ASAP. I believe his experience can help clear some queries..

If you still sitting on the fence, come down during our meetups.. let you decide which one your fancy; the Carb model(not dat many nowadays but reli adventure ride) or the EFI ( currently there are abt some riders in VARAs; Freerangestormer, KC, Dondidie, Dok and KC's friend; Swervy)

We let you have a feel on our fatgerls... Khe khe!
