I recalled the first few months when i changed my rear shocks, i did enquire motorworld which brought in 1 particular brand of rear hugger(in order to protect my new Wilbers). it has a carbon fibre "look" and costs around 180....

 

2++ years on and the price is still the same....

Thks for the replies...I've been to bike pro, loois, mah, etc...but all gave the same reply-bike hv not come in or wont bring in etc. haiyah....23k price was from boon siew n the price has not drop since. its a beautiful bike to me n honda has a gd reputation in terms of wheelers. hahaha my head goin bonkers now.

 

abt parallel import, hmmm i worried over the implications coz albert motor told me tt a batch is coming in n i guess its parallel import. maybe those having the EFI vara can assist me on the bike or somthing...tks guys

All i can say that they're both great bikes... Its a matter of choice..

 

darn tt makes it harder to make a decision..

 

Agree.. If u r a smaller size rider.. then a Stromer is Gd.. but if u r small,short and stomach big... and intend to test ur strength .... VARA is for u.. Both bike has its pros and cons... overall.. U'll enjoy both.. That's for sure

 

i'm 1.71m and 66kg so actually im quite afraid i wun be able to handle a vara esp with full tank..

I went to golden mile at beach road to ****. Was riding past and my sai was at the end of its journey in my body. So Mr Zac, decided to do it. Tot of doing it at the shell beside, tapi we all know the conditions of petrol kiosk toilets lah huh?

 

So i tot, go golden mile lah. Shopping center a lil better and it was decent. Halfway thru the process, the lights went out. Fine, so be it. I finished up and left.

 

Skali uncle sam relaxing lah keying in my details when ppl were running away in their cars. Their cars were parked on the ROAD, mine on the pavement. But i had to kena first. Brainless or not bro??? He even said he saw me going into the shopping centre. The nerve of him, couldnt he then just shout out to me that no parking there and i swear i would have parked it elsewhere. He didnt. To me it seems like he waited for me to go in the centre and then take his time to summon me. I was done in 10 minutes bro.

 

And the price. 10 cents for toilet entry, 60 cents for tissue paper and $120 buck and 3 demerit points for parking.

 

WOW! What a deal. !!!!!!!!

no need to worry abt your height/weight not being able to handle the beast, got some bro here have to stand and push bike thru customs just bcos his feets can't touch the ground........

Whoah Bro Zac, that must have been the most expensive toilet fee u've ever paid man. But how come there's demerit point for parking on pavement? Tot it should be only like $70 fine. Point only applies on zig zag line wat. Anyway, just make an appeal la bro.

 

 

Dinie > U dun have to be a bodybuilder to handle a Vara or Vstrom. It's all abt technique and getting used to. Vara dry wt is 220kg (25L tank size) while Vstrom is 208kg (22L size). Just a mere 12kg diff.

 

For Vstrom if too high, there's such thing as lowering links or change the entire seat with a 650cc model to lower the seat height.

 

I rode a Vara b4 n now a Vstrom. What I can tell u is Vara n Vstrom are like 2 diff sexy babes. They both give u diff pleasures. If i could, I wanna own both so I can have a 3-some anytime, anywhere i want to.

MY DAMAGE:

 

Changed a new front sprocket cover lah.. Apparently the bearings inside the front sprocket cover (yes, they're integrated) holding the clutch rod.. they corroded and broke into pieces thus jamming the clutch rod from turning to engage gear..

 

Learning Value: From time to time, remember to lubricate that clutch rod area.
