hey guys, i've been using my ipod mini for 7 months and i got it as a gift but it was recently that i discover there was some problem switching it and it will display "low battery" even though i've just charged it...

 

tried switching it on and off a couple of times but it failed and im truly dissapointed..wat should i do guys? could they repair for me at apple shops even though i've no warranty?

Mine's does the same thing too. I heard Mini's has battery problems. I didn't bothered going to service it seeing I stopped listening to music ages ago when I got my bike.

but i do know mini's battery cannot survive for long. lols.

heard from my fren as her mini is having battery low problem.

changing a battery is more expensive than changing the damn thing to a nano.

so she bought a nano.

she checked with the apple service centre de. u may wanna go down..

krazyfist: haha i got same problems with my creative zenphoto, theres like a bug when u plug in the cable it doesnt charge. so make sure its charging when u charge it

yah lor..sometimes it charged..sometimes after an hour den it start charging... wat do u mean by the bug?

u mean changing the battery cost aroun 200 bucks? or even more?

then u use what to charge? is either usb to ipod , travel adapter to ipod , car charger to ipod , lol. ur ipod got dyno? haha

lols. you know now got that type you plug in your ipod into those kinda portable speaker? im charging from that.

docking speaker... which brand u use...

Buy off ebay for a replacement Batery and DIY. Its a very simple job. Save alot too.

One word of advice to all the iPod bros and sis's out there: Stay away from the power adaptor.

 

That sold-seperately wall-pluggable product used to charge the iPod (instead of the computer) had caused so many people's iPod's inbuilt battery to behave erratically -- symptoms such as sudden power drops are quite common. I even knew of one person where the power adaptor would charge the iPod, emit some burnt plastic smell, and it stopped charging the iPod altogether.

 

Three options for the threadstarter: DIY battery swap as suggested by micmasta, buy the newer iPod models, or switch to another brand.

den wat izzit? i thought there's only 2 form of charging right? one is by using the cable from the computer..another is using the adaptor...

hey guys, just now i went to wheelock for servicing of my spoilt ipod..i was about to enter the shop when suddenly i can switch it on my ipod and it works like normal...

 

i left the shop and i listen to songs for about 2-3 hrs..usually it only lasted for 30 mins before it switches off and display "low battery"...mmm, dunnoe why its ok suddenly...

 

but guys, can trade in be made and can my ipod mini be changed to an ipod nano? btw, i got my ipod mini as a gift...

Do u or anyone have any idea of how much would the battery going to cost?

bro, i heard from my friend who experience the same problem as mine..he said it cost about $105..around there...can try ask them personally...
