Insurance Premium Increase?

Riding a 1999 Honda 250 Hornet.

 

Last year when i just got my 2A bike license, the insurance was $440, this year renewal they tell me $600! I'm 22 years old, I never claim before and my NCD is 15%. Called NTUC they say is market rate. Tried AXA and ANDA, same or more expensive.

 

Is everyone paying higher premiums this year? Or did my bike get put into a more expensive category? any advice?

weird,im also finding out about class2 600cc bike insurance prices,for 22years old new license....insurance nowadays weird2 wan le.

I just bought insurance for my nouvo at115, freaking got charged $340+++.. after i bargin for a 5% loyalty discount drop to $320++... still expensive for a 115cc bike!!.. Btw, i bought at ntuc with no NCD.. Im 26 with 6 yrs riding experience

yup.. can cfm ntuc increase.. for me, 2004 phantom.. im 21 this year.. 1 year+ riding exp.. last year $789... this year, $839.. i straight away run away.. haha! AXA much cheaper..

yes insurance company but anda manages it. same for axa

last year, i use axa.

wanted to renew axa again but was quoted about $4xx

so was given a cheaper alternative, using chartis which is just $3xx for me.

so I took chartis lor and just renewed less than a week

When there are more claims, the insurance comps pay out more, and next year the insurance on the whole rises.

A cycle.

They claims they are making a loss on motor insurance every year. But anyway, it's a L-L situation I guess. If we wanna ride/ drive, we gonna pay.

 

As we know, the premium is tagged to your bike type, age, your age...etc.

Perhaps the biggest 'saver' when you fall into the next age bracket where the premiums goes down.

insurance on the whole has rised. due to increased claims i suspect. though they could forming a cartel as well we don't know.

 

i was charged 720 for 2a bike. suzuki impulse 1997. 22 year old, no ncd.

 

phantom previously they offer me at 620, P plate. 21 year old.
