if you were in this industry you would siam working on A380

me was offered to go on A380 type-course and I totally rejected it on the basis that i dont want to sign a 18 months bond ..but if they offer me boeing 787 dreamliner i will sign the bond and that should be my early retirement course..P

your company type course bond is 18 months?

i thought standard is bond one year?

I'm a trainee tech(avionics) from STA and have been assigned to work on Helicopter/private jet(currently having 8 month OJT before pass out as a tech)

I wanna know what is the prospect for helicopter and private jet in sg or other part of the world.

 

I wanted to become a LAE for narrow/wide body aircraft. i've tried to call my HR to change my SBU from engineering to SASCO(purely commercial A/C) but was rejected and directed to the training officer who wanted me to stay in the helicopter/private jet department and keep telling me nonsense thing like helicopter type course is conducted oversea not like commercial a/c which is local, why you want to fight with hundreds of ppl whereas you can enjoy a full pot of gold in helicopter industries etc. I think my training officer treating me like 12yrs old kid by luring me using oversea type course so insulting sia. now i felt so helpless and lost now.

If its your ambition to work on Commercial Jets, let your HR and Sup know. If they don't give a damn, finish your bond and be ready to leave. Apply for SASCO TLAE scheme before hand to see if you can get in.

Actually i have a diploma in a/c maintenance from ATTC(part time) and was not offered TLAE whereas my colleagues who have completed the full time diploma have been offered but they didn't take up the offer la. Now i thinking should i take up a poly diploma anot.

 

If i tell my situation to the project manager,you guys think he will help me?

I know a lot of guys wanted to work at military jets, but the request for postings to military section is so ovewwhelming that some were grudgingly forced to stay in commercial jets.

 

i guess the company's quest for profits make for uncomfortable and unbearable working conditions in the commercial aircraft sections.
