Game 1 home against the gunners 0-0. What a fracas! Gervinho... U deserve it.

Game 2: a tyne-wear derby. Away against our rivals Sunderland. 0-1. Ryan Taylor scores from a direct free kick.

I stayed up to watch the whole game and in the first half, Newcastle were outplayed by Scunthorpe. In the 2nd half, they played much better and they deserved an equaliser through R.Taylor brilliant freekick. Then in extra time, Sammy Ameobi netted the winner with a stunning strike. Imo, he played very well and caused much problems in the left wing after replacing Demba Ba who's totally lost in that match. Well done lads!~

Yeah even though our performance once again was not the best, 3 points are what matters most. But Best had the best of game scoring 2 goals and finally Ba had something to contribute with an assist to the second goal.
