1. Go petrol station air pump. Put in and it will tell u the reading.

2. Depends on your tyre. Sidewall has its reccomended pressure.

3. If the rubber compound gets hard or the thread is worn.

The best is to check the manual. The sidewall on my tyres only state the maximum pressure. What bike you riding anyway?

how do u check the tyre pressure? and wat is the ideal tyre pressure anyone? and when do u knw the tyre must be replaced

there is no ideal pressure..

if you are a short distance rider....std reccommended pressure

long distance...

higher pressure say 10 to 15 kpa should do the trick..as the long ride will increase the tyre pressure..

as a result of the side wall flexing longer...this actually increase the tyre temp..at a higher presuure the side flex lesser and the pressure rise is controlled.....

but for most practical purposes..220 to 250 kpascal...or 30 to 32 psi

tyres have max wear indicators....if you look carefully at the grooves of the tyre..there are tiny bumps in it..

this is 2mm above the tyre carcass...if you can feel that the wear indicator been breached..time to change tyres..

tyres should be changed before 5 years..even if you dont ride much..the environmental effects especially uv will harden and eventually destroy the tyre. you will find that the ride will be bumpy..and braking distances and grip will be terrible if tyre suffers a uv effects..and the tyre will even explode under normal stresses...this is a hazard that you must be aware of....

how to check tyre pressure..off course with a tyre gauge...dont have..visit the petrol station.

correct.

the owner normally provide cold tire pressure,

shouldnt ride to petrol station and pump, that's will make your tire hot.

yeah, pump when the tire is cold. ride to petrol station less than 5km away after starting your bike.

Long distance riding or with heavy load, you should INCREASE the tyre pressure. If you lower the tyre pressure, it will lead to overheating.

Most people would tell me to LOWER the pressure. But i prefer to stick to tyre manufacturers advice.

pump once every 1-2 weeks. you be surprised at how fast your tyres loses pressure. also you will feel the handling difference once your tyres are up to pressure :)

Agreed, I love riding with the right tire pressure you'll feel a difference in handling! Yes, I always pump according to manufacturer specifications.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine
