Hi, i would like to ask those who have experienced from changing your OPC car to a normal day car.

I called LTA and enquire all the necessary procedure and fee. Also called my insurance agent to covert my insurance to cover a normal day car.

Now I need to know, where should i change my number plate? The cost of the number plate (including installation), how long later can i retrieve back my car?

Thanks! if you dont mind can you sms me the infomation to me at 90234818!

Change number plate can be done at shops that specialize in this. I converted my OPC at LTA Sin Ming. The Machik over the counter pointed me the direction of the shops that do number plate. So i drove over after converting at LTA. I think when u convert at LTA, just ask counter. Someone should know because this is a common question there.

Other place i know of is opposite HKL. Those do number plate for bikes one sometimes do number plate for car also.

I did mine for $60 only. Its a 1 hour job. Don't need to leave car. Just go lim kopi and come back can liao. $60 is plastic and simple one. If u want stylo milo then maybe $80-$100.

my guess is just go to workshop with a new plate. cut the seal then change new 1. but before or after you change, better confirm. i think is after... cos if opc need to cut the seal to change bumper @ workshop, they will apply from lta then cut...

I was making an inquiry sometime ago about converting OPC to normal car. Procedures seem easy until to the finance company. I called and check with them as well. Not sure if it's only my finance company or was it across the board. Was told to full settle first then do a reloan. And to full settle means early settlement where there is a n early settlement fee. Afterwhich i shelf the idea. Ridiculous.

OMG! that's lame right.. luckily my is just some old car and finish all the loan already.. anyway the insurance is also kinda headache. because need to cancel the OPC insurance and get a new quote from the insurance company then can proceed to LTA
