Wow OFFICIAL...if you spray this paintwork on your bike...then you'll probably have the fiercest ZXR400 in SG :cheer:

But, you also need the matching racing suit to look good :cheeky:

HI!!!!!!!! managed to get my butt off the bed and into the computer room...

i really want to thank all who have helped us on that fateful night.

Thanks to all especially Cybo, Ah Fai, Kawasakininja, Johnny, Baby Devil and also those i did not mention, there's so many to thank that i might have forgotten some.... but nevertheless, thank you.

I like it because it gives me confidence, it'll let me challenge myself....

everytime iI ride on it, and discovers the wind is in front of me, I throttle, it'll let me race with the wind.......

I lay low, to reduce wind drag, keep racing forward.....

in the end I won against the wind.....

Switchable TRE for ZX14. Costs less than $2 in parts to produce.

http://www.picturesky.com/albums/userpics/10129/nE0TRE.JPG

Applicable to ZX6/ZX10/ZX12 too, but resistor value might be different. Change resistor value to simulate other gears if required.

Nice to see you posting in the Kawa thread again.. Thinking of making a come back? o_O

Anyway TRE (Timing Retard Eliminator) It will disable the speed limiter on your ride. Most fuel injected sportbikes have electronic circuitry which retards the ignition timing in the first four gears. With a TRE you can make the full potential power out of your bike.

It is when power is wedded to chronic fear that it becomes formidable.

The "TRE" (timing retard eliminator) fools the bike into thinking its in 6th gear (or in the case of many other bikes, 5th gear).

For example, if the ECU is programmed to restrict the bike to 299km/h in 6th gear, this can be overcome by 'tricking' the ecu that the bike is in 5th gear, where no such restriction exists (because it will rev out in 5th before it gets anywhere near 299km/h).

So, if the bike thinks its in 5th, but is physically in 6th, the rider will be able to rev to redline, thus exceeding 299km/h.

And so on.

I'm not familiar with Yamahas, but I don't think Yamaha has such restrictions.

And with your fly-by-wire trottle, I don't think you should mess with it.

Go check your yamaha forums, is there a seperate ignition/fuel map for different gears?

Gerald> Well, I don't know if your bike has seperate ignition and fuel maps for the lower gears, but if it does, then the TRE might help.

Do you know if your bike has secondary trottle bodies?

Or put it simply, is there a "TRE" product out there for your bike? If there is, then you can make one for yourself 10 times cheaper, and works the same way.
