did 2 jumps with skydive adventure..

was really fun.. but due to costly package in order to get the diving licence, didn't really continue after that...

 

have got this out of this world feeling during the 1st few sec of the jump

and when you were standing outside of the plane...

 

if i got the dough, i will definitely go out all for it.. ^_^

there are specail goggles big enuff to cover your specs. but better if use contacts.

wah lau army ?? basic airborne only jump round canopy rigs and these are done static line, where got fun???

 

jump out the chute opens automatic and toggles cannot control well and cannot flare to land smoothly .

 

unless you master parachutist or HALO.....then can get freefall time...

 

woohoo 200km/hr without an engine!!

got the $$$ support now for the jump but got to go ask ard for canopy and container. cannot afford the rig everytime also must borrow:sweat: hopefully can do clock my 200th jump n do >8 way n 4 way complete atleast 8pts

sorry guys that time too excited talk to fast! me only got $300 in pocket so can only do at most 6 jumps ($49 per jump). so only can clock max to my 130th jump:sweat: as for doing >8 way hope can find kakis on the jump day itself:goodluck:

Hi..i'm quite interested..but i'm a total newbie to skydiving:sweat:

dunno quite alot of terms u all use..anyway..diff between static & free fall is that for static e chute will open immediately izzit? Also...after attending e course still cannot get diving lisence?? then need to do wat to get??

no prob bro! pm me if u really wan to go into it.

 

static line, as it says it has a line attach to its deployment bag & hock onto the aircraft. thus when u exit the aircraft the bag will be pull out & the chute will deploy.

 

free fall usually means after exit the aircraft u fall free till desire hight then manually deploying the chute.

 

truth u may have compelet a course but u will have to do certain moves & accuracy landing b4 attaining a lisence. eg, for USPA 'B' u need to complete 'L' & 'R' turn follow by front lop then 'L' & 'R' turn follow by back lop & finally land on marked 10m x 10m area.

the event "jump on Singapore" is on 21 & 22 Aug '04 & the brief is on 20 Aug '04.

as for the gears it all depends how deep ur pocket is. let us say buy all 2nd hand cheap cheap ones. a chute ~$200 a container with rev & cyperess ~$2500 a tony suit ~$400 helmet, altermeter ect. will come to ~$400 think thats abt all. but u don't have to buy all those lah. me don't jump often only have the tony suit ($350) 'cos i skin very thick always borrow here borrow there. the jumps for the coming event is $49 per jump.

I'm not current and way too rusty.

I've also forgotten so many safety procedures.

I cant even remember how to pack anymore.

 

but I cannot forget my flights through the clouds with the sun setting in the horizon at 11,000 ft up in the sky.

 

I would encourage the other folks to try this out before you get older and have too much commitments..

on my application form i indicated 4 jumps. c how on 21Aug if enjoy then i'll try to clock more jump ($$$) don't worry about packing lah if i not wrong they got riggers there for packing svc. will find out more tomorrow during the brief. mayb u wan to come along to find out more:smile:

soak in memories, we did but it was an overal lousy event.

 

pay $10 to go in expecting to get to the landing zone butwas told that it was reserved for jumpers and VIPs only.

 

THEN PUBLIC GO THERE FOR ****? pay $10 to go inside to look at subarus and samsung which we see every day????

 

As an ex-jumper, I would certainly be looking to go to the landing zone to catch the jumpers swoopp flare and land. perhaps catcha few pics with the cool folks there pay $20 also nevermind but...................

throttle bro, i m very disappointed with the organizer. me pay for registration ($28) & when through all the trouble to get all the equipment then only to be told only USPA 'C' or equal r allow for the jump via e-mail on 20th of Aug:giddy: so on the evening 21st Aug me try my luck to attend the brief & only to be given the jumper's pass & reasons being the DZ is small & the ground is ....blur...blur...y wasn't all these say eariler:confused: Y only 2 days b4 the jump???

 

pay $28 only to feel being cheated. so angry that i didn't bother to go c my friends jump & refuse to read any reports on the papers abt the event. sigh......

just renew my USPA licence n found out there are 3 DZ in N Carolina. i will bring my tony suit up n when the weather trun warmer will go n clock some jumps...mmm... say if i jump twice a mth n do ~ 6 jumps each for 7 mth hope can clock ^40 jumps

ride up to genting yesterday, when to the wind tunnel for practice & also warm up b4 flying to states. paid 380RM for 10 slots, practice on my turns n some stability training. happened to meet the 'Alpha Ford' all ladies rw team from Ukraine. talk to them (God! they all so beautiful!!!) n found out they r there form 9days training in preparation for the world meet in april. they r surprisingly young, oldest being 24yo n youngest is only coming 16yo this year:cheeky:

25min session was CHF250 !!

 

anyway, my skydiving days are basically over. too many other things and and life slowing down. I hardly even have time to don my race suit and go down the track these days.

 

i travel frequently and everytime i look out of the plane window, the sens eof flight and freedom and the flashback of skydiving vividly flashes across my mind.

Omg CHF250?! that's ~ S$330 & ~ RM$750:giddy: that u can do 20 slot in genting!!!

next trip u go up genting try better. though i pay for 10 slots(20 mins) i actually did 14 slots (2 rds, 8 slots,rest then another 6 slots) all thks to the gals
