gg to bring my good trusted laptop to sim lim to replace all the USB ports.....the PORTS getting old and less sensitive....sometime can read.....sometime cannot.....any good shop at sim lim to recommend?????

It is rarely the port that fails, but rather the connections from the port to the motherboard or the chipset itself.

when i plug in USB devices.......sometimes must move the plug left right a bit until my laptop detect the device........sian man

 

Like what i said, it could not be the port itself but the connections and the chipset. You got try updating your drivers such as your USB controller and even your mobo chipset itself?

I suggest u to get a 4 usb port hub, cheaper than trying to replace all your existing ones. Furthermore, who knows after the replacement, new problem comes in.

 

Agreed with this. Don't open it up if you don't know what you are doing.
