If anybody can find "PJ1" heat paint, it is highly recommended by SOHC forum.

Find it and used it.

I am looking for this product anyway.

i tink it's best to take out the whole pipe to respray it.

1)sandpaper everything. (i use 100 & 320 course)

use 100 1st coz it's rougher den 320 to fine it.

2)wash the fine rusty flakes away or wipe them away with damp cloth. thinner's the best.

make sure the pipe is smooth n clean. if nt, sandpaper n wash again.

(step 2 is very impt coz i dun read most of u guys clean the pipe after sandpapering it)

3)wipe the pipe with a dry cloth if u're using water. thinner evaporates quicker so dun nd for thinner.

4)once dry, immediately spray hi-temp spray paint to reduce oxidation frm taking place. make sure spray lightly to prevent uneven spray.

(i use rj hi-temp black spray paint to do the job)

5)make sure the 1st layer has completely dried up b4 spraying the 2nd thin layer.

(i only sprayed 2 layers as according to the instructions on the spray bottle coz more layers may cause it to be uneven n "heavy")

6)for best results, leave it to dry for a night b4 fixing ur pipe back.

once u fixed the pipe back, u might notice there may b bubbles forming on the pipe. dat's bcoz u didn't spray lightly n evenly causing thicker areas on some parts.

u might want to call a graffiti fren of yours to help with spraying coz i suppose his spraying technique is well-controlled. make sure he's gd.. haha!!

Here's the pics of my spray tat i bought it from near by hse hardware shop for $8.80 and before and after spray pic. :p

same brand as wat im using.... :cheeky:

bro update us if your paint job last cos i used the same product but my exhaust turned white after a few mnts.

anybody had the same experience?

ya.. spray a while it wil turn white.. i think might be due to too thick paint... i was thinking of sanding the pipe, then use autosol to fill up the rust holes then spray hi temp... any one try? cause i sand and spray , the rust wil stil come back.

I'm using a rust converter on my S4 exhaust. Its called Pye Rust Converter. It chemically reacts with the rust and leaves a black primed surface. So far so good! :thumb:

Hi Wadafark, I am very interest in the Rust converter, since I will be spraying my bike black next year.

Where did you get it from? And does the black surface rust again after rain?

I thought the pipe turns white because the heat basically cooks the paint? I use RJ High Temp spray too, but the exhaust still turns white after a few weeks.

Hi,

I was wondering where you buy this product?

Any long term effects?

Yup I have the same question as Norisha. I've tried asking the staff at Homefix and other hardware shops but they always give me a strange look and straight away point their fingers to a can of WD40, even after describing to them that the product is supposed to convert rust into a black substance.

so where to buy those rust master?

are they primers as well?

would it be better to spray rustmaster

then hi temp primer

den high temp spray.

Don't use undercoat that can't withstand high temp..no point will peel off again very soon :giddy:

This clock projects the time, date, or temp on the wall or ceiling http://www.liangdianup.com/clocks_1.htm some people call

it a ceiling clock but I call it a digital projection clock. I got the black one because at the time that was the only color

they had. But now they have them in black and also in white.

Best if can find a ceramic spray. If you notice, the brownish substance that was originally on the bike is actually a ceramic coating, then a hi-temp black. I've been searchin for a ceramic spray.
