COE Expring

The COE to my dad'd bike is end 15 Mar, Can i seek anyone advise on ROAD TAX? Is that true that once the COE of my dad's bike is being renew,then LTA will send us the road-Tax to pay?

 

I would also like to check if i were to renew the COE to my dad's bike where can i do it? Is it at LTA?

COE for used bikes is renewed on the PQP rate, available at http://www.onemotoring.com.sg..PQP is the average of the past 6months COE..

 

COE can be renewed at LTA, online, i'm not very sure..

 

Prevailing unused portion of road tax would be refunded in a cheque to 1st owner when bike is put on lay-up or de-registered and scrapped..pro-rated..

 

COE and Road Tax are under two diff money suckers..COE renew, bike won't be automatically de-registered by vehicle licensing department, road tax payment would be requested by LTA the moment you're road tax is expiring and a mini fine would be imposed on late renewal..your dad should also know that road tax can only be renewed till insurance due date..in block of either 6months or 12months..and with valid inspection cert..

 

conclusion..your dad wanna keep the bike, just renew coe asap after this month live bidding, then continue to ride or go for early inspection if inspection is close[3 months remaining] then go renew insurance first, then go buy road tax online..
