I own a Honda super4 Spec2 .

I replaced my bike battery on 21th Feb 2012 after i found out that my bike battery was flat when i returned back from a 4 days oversea trip. There wasn't any problem since then after changing the bike battery . At that time I also removed my voltage stabilizer for good as i thought that it is draining battery power after long period of idealing

The last 2 weeks, i hardly ride my bike frequently as i was sharing carpooling on my friend's car but i did manage to ride bike on March 11/12/13th. Today (march 17th ) when i tried start the bike , i found out that the battery is flat and it is about 4v when i measured with my multimeter . Managed to start the bike after charging the battery with a bike charger .

The bike look problematic if i don't use the bike often . Battery is relatively new so i suspected one of my bike components is faulty . Anyone have encounter this type of problem before .

Sounds like you bike has a significant amount of parasitic drain.

Are you going to trouble shoot by yourself or send it to a shop?

Fortunately , i didn't throw away my old battery . The old battery still can hold around 12-12.5 voltage for a week and i only charge once a week . I probably need to do some "study" first as i don't want walk in bike shop and mechanic change either rectifier or coil when they are actually functional .

This electrical component has its life cycle.

Most likely as pointed by others, its ur rectifier ao probably worse...ur coil has gone bad.

My orgasm starts at 299km/h.....

It sounded more like a drain issue rather than a charge issue. Find out what's draining the battery ba.

Just to update on the situation . my Mechanic said there is nothing wrong and conclude that the battery is draining out. Bike battery is charging when engine is rev at > 3k rpm . He was suggesting to re-wire devices (i.e ERP reader ) so that it don't function when the engine is switch off .
