Newbie to 2A cruises, inputs appreciated

Hi fellow bikers,

 

I just passed my Class 2A last week! I've been riding a Phantom (and love it!) over the past 1year, and am really excited to buy a 2A Cruiser.

 

I'm looking for inputs on what might be a good 2A cruiser to buy? So far, after searching through various websites / dealerships seems that I typically have Dragstar/ Shadow/ Steed / Suzuki Intruder as options.

 

I've found a 1996 dragstar in relatively good condition, with fair bit of modifications (Crash bar/ extra lights/ back-rest removed etc.).

 

Though, the front tire spooks / rim is quite badly rusted, along with the nuts / bolts and wiring. The tank has quite a few scratches & is patchy, requiring a good repaint job for the tank.

 

I would like to get some inputs on:

1.) What's a good price to pay for this 1996 Dragstar (4years COE left until 2016)

2.) Where could I buy a backrest (much needed, otherwise my girl friend refuses to get onto the bike!)

3.) What's the best place I can get the tank painted, and for how much? Just a simple black paint

4.) Where could I get the front tire rims / either replace or just silver paint...
