Stopped by ROV for pipe modification

Hi all just got stopped by Lta today at pasir ris near white sands. Was riding a super 4 as a subrider with gpr end can. I had the gpr cert but without the diffuser. He took down all information and pictures of the bike and told me to go for inspection the next day in the current condition. Was told to be prepared to pay summon and install back the diffuser. Any advice how should I go about it like fitting it back before going for inspection? Can I still ride on the way for inspection? Also the owner which was my friend had no idea where he kept the diffuser. Can I be able to get it in the market? How much would I likely have to pay for the summon? appreciate any help, thanks a lot!

Shld be $700 as its considered as modification to a street-legal exhaust.

Will be $500 if he is using a non street-legal exhaust.

U will have to ride the bike in the current condition for inspection as the LTA had already took pictures of it. So the inspection will fail and u will have 7 days to go back for re-inspection with the appropriate pipe and silencer. And meanwhile wait for the fine. As a first timer, u can appeal and most likely the fine will be reduce to $200. And yes, u can ride the bike to inspection without the silencer.

 

And for GPR pipe u can try asking Excel whether they have the silencer for sale since they are the authorize dealer.

 

Coz i juz kena 2 mths ago also. But i was using illegal exhaust. No cert No nothing.

err..maybe a dumb question..but how do u know if ur bike hav diffuser or not..? i have a cbr400 which i bought from a guy, he say he has cert, and it passed inspection last time..so is it ok..?

Wow, $500? Never appeal? My ex-pizza hut fren was caught with chamber pipe on his KRR150 twice, appeal twice & was fined $200 for each offense.

Same situation here, pull over by LTA and I have full non-legal exhaust and LTA told me to go for inspection. Can I just change back to stock exhausts before going to inspection ?? that way I dont have to go another one. they have all my pics anyway and I know my pipe isnt legal and will fail the test. can I do that???

U have to ride the bike in the condition in which u were caught. They will have pictures of your illegal exhaust. So like i mentioned earlier, will fail the 1st time then u will have 7 days to change a legal/stock exhaust then go inspection again.
