Today I replaced my 10 year old stock mirrors with the Rizoma Tomok replica mirrors (made in China) bought from AliExpress for $44. The right hand side of my stock mirror weight, embedded inside to prevent vibration at high speed, has loosen and it causing a very irritating buzzing sound.

The new mirrors stem is made of CNC aluminum, about 50% lighter than the stock mirrors and the area of the mirror is 50% smaller than the stock. The new mirror is slightly tinted blue to prevent glaring and the looks match the bike outlook. The quality of the mirrors are quite good, overall I am happy with the purchase, in addition reviews from buyers commented no vibration up to 140km/h.

Here is the new look with the replica Rizoma mirrors

In response to the inconsiderate and reckless driver, I decided to install a action camera on my motorcycle to safeguard myself if there is any dispute.

I bought the latest SJ4000 action camera and ram mounts

SJ4000 cost $112 from Aliexpress and the ram mount cost $65 inclusive of shipping.

Here is the set up of the action camera,

Now running PC3 Map, 214-517, (European Model - Akropovic Full Exhuast, Stock or After Market air filter), so far seems to work fine with stock bike.

214-507 - (European Model - Completely stock bike) is too rich.

Went to 219 motor shop to customize a sticker for my meter face plate. I dismantle the meter for them to scan the face plate, the art work cost $10, and the sticker cost $5. They say it will be ready on Monday.

Bought the matte LCD polarizer film, going to replace the burnt film on my meters, the display a bit faded but still readable.

I have tried with success to replace the LCD polarizer film on my 10 year old digital camera, the display is working like new now.

So I am going to replace the polarizer film on my bike meter myself once the sticker are ready.

What's the problem with your clutch? I have the service manual for 04 to 06 Z750 which you can refer to rebuild your clutch.

I have installed a SteelMate S881 motorcycle alarm on my bike yesterday. I bought it from TaoBao for $40 and paid $20 to VPost to ship here.

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=312908&d=1412777488

I will not post picture of where I wired and place the alarm for the security of my bike.

The connection of Steel Mate

Red - Connects to the Ignition Switch White Wire

Orange - Connects to the Ignition Switch Brown Wire

Black - Connects to bike's frame

Yellow - Connects to the left signal Green Wire

Yellow - Connects to the right signal Gray Wire

Gray - Connects to the crank shaft sensor Yellow/Black Wire

Blue - Connects to the junction box Black/Red Wire

Pink - No need to connect

I did not cut the bike wires instead I use scotch lock to splice into the wires

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=312910&d=1412777501

Everything works except for the remote start(the starter motor crank but will not start). There is a Gray wire connects to the ECU when the ignition switch key is turned on, I am not sure what signal it sends to the ECU, I need to read further on this wire for the remote start function.

Edit: Read from the web there is a resistor inside the Kawasaki ignition switch on the gray wire to step down the voltage, the ECU once detect this then the ignition will start.

The remote start worked now, I wired a 0.25w 100ohm resistor and 1N4001 diode from the steel mate orange wire to the ignition gray wire.

Any advice for coolant change? Can I just use distilled water and flush it every year? No need chemicals to keep the pipe from corrosive and frozen.

Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Your cooling system will need the anti corrosion and lubricant for water pump. I am now using Toyota super long life coolant, its about 5 degree cooler.
