just think of it this way

20+hp --> 100-150hp

once you get the bike, i bet you wont really dare to play it. you cant control it properly in the beginning one.. for some ppl fast, can get used to the power and everything. but for some ppl, getting used to the bike will cost alot of $ if they fall.

if you want to get used to playing the bike, i kinda think a cl2a bike is more for 'trying out' and getting used to the power. its something like 'insurance' i feel. if you drop a cl2a bike, how much its gonna cost? its gonna be relatively cheaper than if you drop a newer cl2 bike right? well..................... some ppl think its cheaper upgrading from a 2b->2 bike. but i kinda think otherwise if you're itching to 'try' the power and you like to play bends or somthing.

unless you're gonna use the cl2 bike only for posing? or maybe straight road shootouts?

juz my 2c.

actually, thou i upgraded from a rvf to my current r6, i'll tell you truthfully. i can handle the rvf easily. but i also cant handle (dont talk about straights la) my current r6 properly when i got it a year ago. if you're talking about taking corners at 4-6k rpm, anyone can do that. but if you go to the real powerband of the bike.. well... i REALLY doubt its very easy to handle. but if you drop the bike.. well.. i suppose you can almost buy a 2nd hand cl2a bike with the money for repairs right?

When i was taking my CL2 TP, a guy who never owned a bike before was also taking CL2 with me.

Think it shdn't be much of a problem. More or less depends on your ability to control the weight and power that the bike is able to churn out.

Confidence is important. However, to gain experience from a Class 2A bike first is also an advantage... :thumb:

I jumped from a 150cc to a V-Twin 1000cc..

1st day rode the bike I was really shocked and shiok by the tremendous power..

Took a month to get used to it..

Now downgrade to 600cc and I'm loving every minute of it..

So it is more or less depends on your ability to control the weight and power..

an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.

I had that idea to "jump" from a 2B bike to a Class 2. But one day, I decided to try out one of my friend's friend's CBR400. I couldn't maneuver it properly or to initiate turns because I had my mind on controlling the seemingly powerful throttle.

I am currently a proud owner of a RVF after much decision making to make the switch, but I still have to master doing U-turns (yes, it's scary) with proper throttle-output, as well as to drop it lower when cornering, as with what I had mastered with my RS125.

No suggestions being put forth here, but that was just my experience on a '400. If you're think you're capable, by all means go ahead. Who knows, you might be able to pull this one off :goodluck:

there r ppl who hv done it so it really depends on e rider itself but personally i think e feel of e power differential from one level to another.

I from kips to R6. Cos i don't want a 2A bike and waste so much $. And i don think it a problem for me. Just don whack at first. Just slowly and get use to it. I first time try 200KM i feel it was too fast for me the impact and wind is killing me. But i never push myself. The problem is only more heavy and the HEAT! CheerS
