Any 2.1 SonicGear speaker will do. OR creative. OR abit branded one. Just get abit branded will do. And get the one with real audio connector. Not the USB type.

You know those with the audio jack? The green jack? The red jack? 3.5mm one? Just dont get the USB kind of connector to your PC. Get the one that goes straight into the sound card, not the USB port.

@crazydj

you got any recommendations on places where i can buy speakers from?

i know there are a lot of places that sells 2.1 speakers, but i don't want to be overcharged

is challenger a good place?

It really depends. Challenger... well, somethings are expensive, some are cheaper. Few years back, i realised that some stuff like logitech mice will be a few bucks cheaper if buy from sim lim, provided you are member. I just got my G400 from Challenger, few bucks cheaper than sim lim.

In my opinion, if only a few bucks, dont waste time and go buy somewhere near you. Anyway, IT fair coming up. Always got deal one. All my speaker at home is buy from IT fair one. Cheaper than you buy from any other time or place one. Sometimes, popular also can. When it comes to speakers in my opinion, its to do with luck. Once i saw speaker at popular sell cheaper than outside. My recommendation is go to IT fair. SonicGear, Logitech, Creative, Antec Lansing are the brands i go for. But also see the design. I prefer to have a large box subwoofer, and solid speakers which are very stable and not so easy to topple. The subwoofer is put on the floor one.

I have a SonicGear Spectra 300, the subwoofer and volume control is on the same level as the speakers, decent sound, powerful bass, it was cheap so i got it though. I also have a SonicGear Morro 521. Pretty solid. Better quality sound, but more expensive la. For me, i am very sensitive to sound one la. You give me speakers, i can hear the difference.

Check this out. http://mysonicgear.com/products

PS: There are better brands out there la, but i like those cheap cheap brands because they give you the bang for buck thingy. Back when i was younger, i like to go to those IT fair and just listen to the different models of speakers and hear the difference. This SonicGear brand is very bassy in my opinion, doesnt give you the BEST sound but you get what you pay. Better sound from creative where its clearer but the bass is not as punchy or Antec Lansing, where the sound is crisp, more balanced. Its really up to your preference. If you are those play techno music tone death one, then boomz boomz boomz, get punchy one. For me, i prefer clear and crispy sound as opposed to punchy and bassy.

I got a creative t3 in the end... It's pretty decent for a 2.1 speaker, but the volume knob sucks. If you go and do a google you will realize quite a number of people in hardware zone are having issues with it too.

Ya, it's a common problem among all Creative speakers.
