Lowering down front suspension X1R

Hi guys, i need some help, i recently lowered my front suspension at one of the bike shop, however, my front suspension isn't moving much anymore and whenever it goes over small bumps at slow speed or expressway speed, it feels like a rigid suspension which is very uncomfortable. Please correct me if i am wrong but is lowering the front suspension supposed to behave like that? I went back to the shop and the mechanic reduce some oil in the suspension which is now able to move about an inch, it still bottom out over bumps very easily. I am very new to motorbike so any advice would really be very much appreciated. Thanks guys.

if you lower your suspension, its supposed to stiffen up the suspension. if u bottom out too easily and hit your coverset too easily means probably your suspension not enough oil.

But then izit advisable to lower down fork?

Any shops to recommend to do fork swee2? Im thinkimg about leaving mayb 1-2 inches of the mud guard...wat do u think?
