Recently I posted a sales advertisement for my Honda twister CBX250 at http://************************ (thinking of converting my OPC to normal black plate, wife preferred me to drive than bike lor). Within 24 hours, I got 4 inquirers asking about it!! From this, I can infer that sgbikemart.com is rather popular and well-visited by fellow biker bros. Posting an advertisement in the portal is fuss-free and straightforward. In fact, the portal administrator vetted and published live my advertisement within a day. Very prompt indeed!!

Well, so far only one inquirer turned up to see the bike and which he test-rode it with me (the other 3 didn’t follow up with me after I told them my offering price is the lowest and that I can’t go any lower than that anymore). The fellow biker bro who test-rode my bike has offered his price, which I could not agree to regrettably. Well, maybe he will change his mind, or perhaps other prospective buyers will find my selling price justifiable and value-for-money for the good deal I am offering. If no fellow bros can match my offer, then I would rather continue riding in my trustworthy bike and continue to let my wife nag at me haha...

Yupp sgbikemart, singaporebikes and gumtree are the only 3 sites that you ever need if you are buying or selling bikes. The others are not even 1/10th as popular as these 3

gumtree? Now that's something new to me.. I must go check it out.. Besides sgbikemart, singaporebikes and gumtree, any other sites that are well-visited by local fellow bikers for the buying and selling of bikes? Thanks man..

OLX and Locanto also classifieds sites just like gumtree, but not that much popular. Other even less popular are Adpost, craiglist and redad, sg.88db and cars.st701

haha, sua ku me.. Got it, thanks..

Quick question: Let's say a prospective buyer came over to view my bike. Out of good gesture, I allow him to ride my bike to test but with me as a pillion. No issues with this arrangement. But if the buyer wishes to try bike alone to feel the full power of the bike, do we as sellers allow him to ride alone? Will he accidentally scratch my bike against the kerb or something, or worse, take my bike and piu lang? I know this is a matter of trust, but I tend to be on the cautious side. Will it be insulting to him if I request to hold back his IC or driving license should he insist on test riding my bike alone?

Its a matter of taking risk and trust. I have allowed many prospective riders to test ride my bike, but thats me, I took the risk. I usually ask them if they have license and how long they have been riding. If they appear really noob then I may refuse. Usually I notice that noob people come with some experienced friend and the friend test rides for them and then gives feedback.

Its perfectly fine to hold back their IC and DL, no worries with that.

Since your bike is a class 2A, yet in terms of handling CBX 250 is almost like a 2B pulsar, lah. So a person looking to buy your bike wouldnt be a noob, He would be an experienced 2B rider and now with a 2A license capable of riding a Super 4 haha. So dont worry, very less risk of dropping your bike down. Just make sure, that instead of MSCP, ask him to test on level road.

i tried to sell my bikes before on SBF and sgbikemart. SBF seems to get more response from buyers... but that's my experience anyway..

Sgbikemart is very well organised and used heavily and the fact that if you post an Sgbikemart link here it will get censored, tells me that its a major competitor :cheeky:

it's not just about the site, it's more of content and users that matters.

SBF has 93,618 Members, which attracts sponsors and advertisements.

infact, SBF's own bike mart function the same as sg bike mart

speaking about "heavily used"...
