Hi Guys - great to talk to riders in other countries! I'm looking for advice relating to Front Number Plates. There is talk of introducing FNPs here in Australia to allow speed cameras that only shoot from the rear to capture riders from the front. Riders here feel that FNPs represent an unnecessary imposition as it will mean bolt on plates that have the potential to cause handling problems and also sticker damage on expensive motorcycles. What are your experiences?

stickers don't damage expensive paintwork... they only peel off your paint if you've got a dirt cheap low quality paint job...

expensive paint works normally have a thick coating of lacquer over them... and they are rather more prone to getting damaged from flying rocks...

Bikes in Singapore have FNPs installed as per regs. Most FNPs here are of the sticker type and goes straight on the windscreen. No mess on the paintjob.
