Especially with all your “poisons” in FB yesterday.

Now I am interested in most of the “poisons”. Hahaha.

Btw, I PM you here in SBF regarding the oil filters you have not get back to me.

James, sorry I never log in to SBF for a week liao. Been busy with my facebook page. Will reply you within 30min. CONFIRM!

Btw guys, my handle bar shakes left and right slightly when i ride freehand. To prevent it shaking, i shud tighten my handle bar am i right? Usually tat is wat my mech does on my previous bike when i tells him tat.

If you have a rear box, its common for your bike to shake left right if you ride free hand. Try removing the box & test again.

Hi guys, noob question here,is it normal for a bike to have low idling when starting and high idling after a few mins of riding?

After installing the digital speedo on several Jupiter MX, I was able to see the exact RPM. I see alot of new Jupiter with idling speed of 1000 rpm. Its too low. Should be around 1300 rpm. Try rising up the idling speed. Get a mech to do it if you dont know how.

Hi guys, any way that Jupiter can provide additional storage? Like wave125, they have compartment under the seat and put basket front and centre.

Put rear box, middle Kappa box & it should be enough? If still not enough, get side box and can paste Africa Twin on your bike.

Sorry. Can I check with u all. First 3000km service every 1000km. Now I near to 4000km so do I do the same service every 1000km?

For new bikes I suggest change EO & oil filter after running in at 1000km. After that change EO after 2000-2500km. Oil filter change every alternate servicing. Spark plugs can last for 10,000km at least.

Why you promote me? Want discount is it?

Can peel off. If 219 workers can peel off, so can you. Good luck! :)

Wats the stock sprocket size?i only know its 38 at the back,so if i change the back to 39 will it have better pick up?

Spoke to one Jupiter MX rider just now. He told me 14 front 38 rear for stock. Try 15 front, 39 or 40 for rear. See if it improves your pick up response.

Doubt there's 2nd hand available as this bike is still considered very new in the market. Even if there is, it's gonna be hard to find. Why not just top up abit more & get a 1st hand? Save your time instead of searching high & low for 2nd hand ones?

Just sharing about what I learnt on sprocket settings. Yes, the stock ones we are using is 14f 38r. You must first find the sprocket ratio. Simply take the rear size divide by the front size.

38÷14=2.71

If you want better pickup, your new sprocket ratio should be higher than 2.71. If you want better top speed, the ratio should be lower than 2.71.

39÷15=2.6 (better top speed)

40÷14=2.85 (better pickup)

Important note: after following these ratios you may NOT achieve what you are hoping for. Better top speed or pickup does not solely rely on just on changing of sprockets. Other factors like your engine mods, rider's weight, riding style, tyre size and pressure, chain slack and the overall aerodynamics of the bikes will play a part. Your friend might say that his sprocket setting is good on his bike. You need not follow his advice as it may not work on you. He may be lighter than you, has a different bike setup or even different riding style.

This is a trial an error process which every rider need to spend abit on money and time. This what makes riding so much fun because you get to understand your bike more. Enjoy your ride everyone!

So 15 front 40 rear is what they should try as I find the bike really laggy compared to Spark, probably partly due to the wider & heavier rims + rear disc brake setup. If anyone has try this, do update here if you feel it's better! :)

That, I am not really sure. Need to see the bike up close. Best is to ask mechanics. To our normal eyes, we might see it as SURE CAN!. But to mechs, they'll be able to spot the hidden problems.

I just change eo and oil filter, and the mech go and pour 1l of eo in!!!will it do any harm to my bike???

If change oil filter, pour in only 900ml. When mechanics drain off your old EO, not everything will come out. There will be some left behind. So add on the one left behind + 1000ml of EO. You think now how many ml of EO you have inside? :slapforehead:

Go back to the mech & slap his forehead. The most he will brush you off and say it is okay & small issue. Trust me.

Alamak so is it better to change eo again or just wait till i hit 1km?cos right now my mileage is 600+ only

Just wait ah. Don't waste your $$$. Next time be more careful. Watch what the mech is doing. Seriously I find most mech these days no standard. Hence why I don't mind travelling across the country or even up north just to send my bikes to a reputable mechanic. :)

Hi all,

Some updates to bike that might require some discussion.

Had my bike for a week plus now..

Just Ran in the 1000km..

Now.. The interesting part.

First.. Extremely stock bike with everything the way it was when first bought

Ouh yeah.. Add in the centre kappa box.

I tried top end and good drag on gears..

Top end I managed to get 110km/h.. (that's after a good long drag)

Gear 4 --- I managed an 80(+/-)km/h

---------------------------------------------------

On the 16/04/13

I added in the BRT CDI. (280RM)

And to my knowledge, there isn't a legal pipe as yet.

So I enlarged the header of my exhaust. Welded it in.

I removed the so called catalyzer(sarung) towards the mid pipe. (100RM)

Changed front and rear sprocket to 15/39 with New DID chain.. ( RM70)

Before I tested the bike with the exhaust.

I tested it with the stock exhaust with the BRT CDI.

A lot of improvement in the drag and also the pick up.

Feels more like a bike that is worth the ride.

However so, Sadly, the top end remained close to the same.

Perhaps abit over the 110km/h mark.

And then I placed in the exhaust and tried it. Slight difference.

I could easily accelerate to 100km/h and it felt much smoother.

It didn't feel like my engine was going to fall apart.

Top end, I managed to hit 120 with alil bit of drag still.

Not satisfying enough in my eye. LOL..:pity:

So on the 18/04/13

I went to my W/S again.

This time I was seeking for more response power.

I gave him my bike and told him to make a difference in it with a budget of (420RM)

And I let him do the rest. I didn't question him nor did I say anything to all that he did.

I saw the first thing he did was to remove my MIKUNI Ori Carb.

Then he removed my air box.

Then he removed my exhaust and removed the stopper in the silencer.

He went on to remove my throttle and he changed my fuel hose(I dunno why he did that though) LOL.

Okay this is the cool part.

He installed a KEIHIN 28mm

Changed my throttle to a fast throttle

Changed the cable

Im running without an air box.

And he retuned and set the bike back in.

I did the test record just an hour ago.

Trust me its worth every penny.

-------------------------------------

Results : -

The response is simply amazing compared to a stock bike.

The bike breathes more freely.

You don't feel restricted.

The bike doesn't cry when its dragged.

And above all, for once, I feel that the bike isn't shy to accelerate. U can actually feel

the response in it.

And so I tried.

Gear 3 -- 80km/h going to 90km/h

Gear 4 -- 100km/h going to 110km/h

Gear 5 -- Its slowly runs down to a top end of 130km/h and still very responsive and smooth.( personally, I feel the sprockets don't give way for the bike to move further.)

Anyways. I tested the speed against an RX-Z 135CC. At 130km/h his bike was pointing towards 150km/h

With a SUZUKI GXSR 1000 L1 however my 130km/h was showinh a 126km/h on his meter. Pretty close? U decide.

Overall, I hit 0 - 100 in a rather quick time. Infact gear 3 was nearing 100km/h.

Right now, the carb switch was an awesome mod in my opinion. Everyone has their own.

Yeps.. Till my next update..

Prolly the block. Take care ppl.

Hope some light was shed on this rather mysterious bike.

So much internal mods on a very new bike. There goes your Yamaha warranty.

Anyways, if you really want top speed, try making the bike 'lighter'. The current rims are too wide, which adds on alot of weight. Change to the ones that Spark/X1R are using which are less wider and you will be able to cut off more weight. Throttle response should improve alot as it creates lesser stress on the engine. But by doing that you will have to say goodbye to the awesome stability you are having now on your Jupiter rims. Have fun!
